Jazz GM Kevin O’Connor said talking with Carlos Boozer would be “absolutely” the top priority when free agency opens.
Although the Jazz matched a four-year, $32 million offer sheet to keep Paul Millsap last summer, O’Connor said the team remains interested in re-signing Boozer.

“They’ve played awful well together,” O’Connor said, adding that he appreciates all the matchup problems created by the Lakers’ towering frontcourt of Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.

Utah will have competition from teams with maximum cap space.

If they offer significantly more money than the next best offer, he'll stay.

The way I read the thread title at first glance: "Keeping Boozer's Remains Utah's Top Priority"

Why would they want to keep him? It is time to move on imo.

This Kevin O'Connor guy has done a great job emulating Bryan Colangelo's mold of overpaying 2nd and 3rd tier players to maintain mediocrity.

They have two starting level power forwards, and one has to go somewhere. I'd vouch it will be Boozer. Some desperate team will offer him the max or very close to it. If I were utah I'd hand the reigns over to Millsap.

Wow...let this guy go. Not only is he a faggot, but the Utah "Laker Doormats" need a real center, by signing this guy we all know how next season is gonna end up.

Maybe they can face LA in the WCF this time and actually win two rounds :clap

I didn't even know that they still wanted him.

Boozer is still good and all, but the Jazz will face the same problems against the Lakers if they have him.
