excellent analysis.

The real question is, when do we end up shipping out Manu, because this guy needs to get all the minutes at the 2. IF only we had known we were going to get a young clyde drexler, we would probably have done a sign and trade with manu!

:rolleyes

Well, sure, in his rookie year. By the middle of his second year, the only comparison will be with Jordan. Oh shit, I forgot to use blue.

If he turns into James Harden, I would be as happy as a box of birds.

Maybe not Clyde. But definitely better than Kobe.

I read where one of Anderson's weakness's was that he dribbles with his head down, Drexlar did the same thing, so who knows? I certainly hope so, but if he just bring a consistent jumper and a desire to improve, I'll be happy.

i think he will. similar bodies but anderson is already a better scorer and defender and more athletic. i think the spurs may have picked the best player in the draft

If he has a career half as good as Drexlers, the Spurs would be happy with the results. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

I do think it looks good on paper for SA given where they picked and the guy they got.

I feel very strongly that James Anderson will be better than Alfredrick Hughes - the great 1985 draft pick SA took one pick after Karl Malone was picked by Utah. Ouch! Thanks Bob Bass.
