The Orioles have surprised me thus far this year. I say i have underestimated them. I knew they'd have a great offense, but it is better than i expected due to the emergence of Brian Roberts.

I did expect them to have problems with pitching, but Erik Bedard is legit. He is emerging as their ace and i have seen him pitch a few times and this kid is the real deal. a lefty who throws 90-94 with good movement and a real good change(also with good movement) to go with a sharp breakin curve/slurve, added to his very good command makes him a great pitcher. He is currently 3-1 with a 2.31 era.

To go along with him they have Ponson and Rodrigo Lopez which should be consistant with their 4 eras all year, which should be good enough to win with their offense. They also got that kid Daniel Cabrera who has electric stuff, who can shut out anybody on any given day if he is on. Bruce Chen is pitching above himself right now(3.38 era) but should be good enough for 10-15 wins with that offense. they also have a good pen.

I think they can win the division over the Red Sox, and if not they still would have a good shot at the wild card. Either way it will make for an exiting race in the AL East. :fro
