Slick Elena? Kagan evades questions on abortion memo (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/slick-elena-kagan-evades-questions-on-abortion-memo-97490439.html)

“Did you write that memo?” Hatch asked.

“Senator, with respect,” Kagan began, “I don’t think that that’s what happened — ”

“Did you write that memo?”

“I’m sorry — the memo which is?”

“The memo that caused them to go back to the language of ‘medically necessary,’ which was the big issue to begin with — ”

“Yes, well, I’ve seen the document — ”

“But did you write it?”

“The document is certainly in my handwriting.”

:lmao Yep, she's from the Clinton White House.

Who cares? She's going to be confirmed and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Neocons should probably win the presidency so they can try to get Harriet Miers instead of Elena Kagan.

I don't like her because she's ugly as hell, and this certainly doesn't help matters.

Court pick Kagan sails through Senate hearing (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE65P0MA20100630)

"She will be confirmed. I believe she will be confirmed," said Republican Orrin Hatch, a member of the Judiciary Committee, predicting there would be at least some Republican support.

He said there was little chance Republicans would use a Senate procedure known as a filibuster to try to block her nomination. Republican Senator John Cornyn referred to her as "soon-to-be Justice Kagan."

A strange requirement for a Supreme Court justice. Not all of us can be as attractive as Ginsburg and Scalia, I suppose.

I still would rather have had Diane Wood. But no surprise that Obama decided against picking the person who stands up for civil liberties.

He couldn't afford to nominate Wood right before midterms, it would have given Republicans the soapbox they wanted. I think Kagan will make serious inroads with Kennedy on certain issues, and that Wood's time may be coming in the near future, when Ginsburg steps down after midterms.

I can only hope Professor. Diane Wood, from what I've read, seems to be the type of judge I can agree with.

Well, we don't have to worry about her being on the court for 40 years. That fat ugly bitch will eat herself into an early grave.

Alls I'm saying is, she is not good looking enough to dance around the question like she did. It's not cute, she's not cute. I don't want her in my kids textbooks either, take her out along with Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine!

Yoni really hates Obama.

And by the transitive property of Obama, he also hates America.

Why do you hate America, Yoni?

And why don't you support our troops?
