'Tony Soprano' Stars In Movie LeBron Watched During Knick Presentation

James Gandolfini, star of the cable television series "The Sopranos," appeared in a short film shown to LeBron James at the start of the Knicks' presentation to the free-agent superstar this past Thursday.

Perhaps for the last time, Gandolfini and Edie Falco reprised their roles as Mr. and Mrs. Tony Soprano.

The plot was written so that Tony Soprano hadn't been killed off in the final episode after all. He was wearing a beard and living with his wife under the witness protection program. Tony told Carmela he had an important friend coming to town who needed a place to stay. The friend's name was LeBron James.

Carmela found the perfect location for a man of James' stature in midtown Manhattan, in a location known as Madison Square Garden.

The look on James' face indicated that he was immersed in the show. The Knicks knew before the meeting that James was a fan of the hit HBO series.

let me give the Knicks some advice. when proposing the signing of a mega-star to your franchise, graphically, it's NOT a good idea to include downward arrows in your presentation.

This line in the Conclusion of the presentation may be what sticks in LeBron's mind:

"if LeBron seeks to maximize his personal brand value, he must not only consider where he believes he can win the most championships, but also..."

I don't that's a very good pitch, emphasizing that joining the Knicks might not result in maximum championships but in maximum brand value... I'm sure the Nets didn't make that mistake in their presentation.

The funny thing about the pitch of the Knicks is that everything they say is true if LeBron joins them is also true if he joins New Jersey. Using actors from the Sopranos could especially ironic, since their characters and show are based in New Jersey. The really sad thing for the Knicks is that even after one of the worst seasons in NBA history, the Nets can still offer a better supporting cast than them.

not necessarily true..if it represents earning potential to infinite depths or preceded by dollar signs I have no issue with it...:toast...or in layman's terms for the under educated it graphically represents showing deep pockets.
