Pussy can't run on his record high TX unemployment rate, record spending deficits, or the money he gets from BP and other oil companies, so he uses the Greens...

A document surrendered under court order identifies Rick Perry campaign consultant, Anthony Holm, as a key person working with Green Party leaders to use Republican money to fund a signature gathering campaign to qualify Green Party of Texas candidates for the 2010 ballot. Holm is a principal of the Patriot Group, which is a well- known GOP political consulting firm that lists Republican Governor Rick Perry as its client. During the current election ccle, the Rick Perry Campaign has paid the Patriot Group at least $90,000 (Source: Texas Ethics Commission). Holm also worked as an aide to Rick Perry calling himself, “Special Projects Director for Texas Governor Rick Perry” (Source: Patriot Group Website).

Anthony Holm is the spokesperson for millionaire Texas homebuilder and Republican financier, Bob Perry (Source: Dallas Morning News, March 5, 2009). Bob Perry has long been one of the nation’s largest contributors to Republican candidates and causes, particularly those in Texas. Bob Perry helped pay for the infamous Swift Boat attack ads in 2004 (Source: Dallas Morning News, March 3, 2010). He has contributed millions of dollars to the Republican Governors Association, various Rick Perry campaigns and to current Republican members of the Texas Supreme Court (Source: FEC, Texas Ethics Commission).

If Perry needs stuff like this to win in Texas the GOP is in pretty bad shape.

That or just smarter than the Democrats. A win is a win.

Rick should move out of his West Lake Hills rental compound. Moving into a vacant condo downtown would probably put him over the top.

The Texas GOP is in pretty good shape if it can put out a platform that calls for the criminalization of sodomy and escape with angry emails at worst. This is just politics as usual. They'd be stupid not to do this and frankly the Dems should be doing the same thing with Libertarians (if they aren't already).

You'll have a hard time convincing me that a pool of more than two candidates is ever really a bad thing, fundamentally.

Our ass-hat Governor is taking lead for BP again...

"About five gallons of tar balls were found Saturday on the Bolivar Peninsula, northeast of Galveston, said Capt. Marcus Woodring, the Coast Guard commander for the Houston/Galveston sector. Two gallons were found Sunday on the peninsula and Galveston Island, though tests have not yet confirmed the oil’s origin.

The Texas Land Commissioner responded, 'Any Texas shores impacted by the Deepwater spill will be cleaned up quickly and BP will be picking up the tab.” In an initial statement, Perry said that he wanted to “assure Texans that we are taking aggressive steps to address this situation and to mitigate any effects to our beaches.” Recently, Perry was being far more conciliatory to BP about the oil disaster. In fact, in May — at a trade association conference funded by BP — Perry said that the oil spill wasn’t BP’s fault at all:

'We don’t know what the event that has allowed for this massive oil to be released,' Perry said alongside several other governors on a panel Monday. 'And until we know that, I hope we don’t see a knee-jerk reaction across this country that says we’re going to shut down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, because the cost to this country will be staggering.' Perry questioned whether the spill was 'just an act of God that occurred' and said that any 'politically driven' decisions could put the U.S. in further economic peril. 'From time to time there are going to be things that occur that are acts of God that cannot be prevented,' Perry said."

The spill wasn't BPs fault at all according to our Governor but an act of god like hurricanes and volcanoes...

We haven't shut down all drilling in the gulf and there are no plans to do so. Perry is lying.

No he's not. The Obama administration is attempting other ways of instituting the moratoriums.

Magic Negro has a moratorium on deep wells, not all wells.

5000+ shallow water wells now.

No he's not. The Obama administration is attempting other ways of instituting the moratoriums.Except they aren't.

About 30 wells were shut down, and it's doubtful that's permanent.

How many jobs have been lost due to BP's blowout?

Since when does a conservative wingnut worry about jobs? may worry about jobs in the corrupt, polluting oil industry? Be careful, somebody's gonna think you have "empathy", or "feel their pain"

there you go with your idiotic assumptions again.

Conservatives want more people to work, so there are more people to buy goods and services.
