Poor city can't catch a break. First Art Modell moves the Browns to Baltimore and we proceed to win the Super Bowl 4 seasons later. Now this. How much torment can one city take? Have any Cle fans reported in tonight?

"The Shot", "The Drive", "The Fumble", and now "The Decision" and "The Letter". It is hard not to feel sorry for Cleveland sports fans.

I feel bad for Cleveland; not for the Cavaliers who fucked things up in their front office continually, beginning with trying to con Boozer into signing an MLE deal in 2004.

Everyone walked around in a funk after Grant Hill left. The Pistons made moves to clear the cap and reading the papers it was like a funeral had just happened. The Pistons were left for dead for at least the next decade. Joe Dumars promised nothing except that he would try to get back to a winning culture (re: Dan Gilbert's committment to beat Lebron to the podium).

The reason that 2001-02 was so glorious around here, why the Palace rocked in the 2004 FInals was partly because we were in shock after Hill's departure. It's hard to write about the 2000 offseason without looking ahead a couple of years, but just know this: I know the pain Cleveland feels. I feel bad for them. I've watched NBA Champion contenders broken up (Chauncey Billups trade) and we've lost a top-3 talent in the league to free agency, just not at the same time.

It will be rough, but take the Pistons as an example of why it might work without Lebron. Right now all you see is one way to the Championship. Who knows? The Cavaliers might suprise you, and if they do, it will be all that much sweeter.

MJ and Kobe bitched and moaned about getting help. Thats completely true, but ultimately they decided to stay. LeBron has to run and get help. Dude can go suck it. I hope Kobe has fun beating that team the next few years. Durantula can take notes so that he can be ready when its his turn.

F the Heat. New chant for NBA fans next year: BEAT THE HEAT BEAT THE HEAT!

Kobe didn't want to stay, he begged to leave..he went all over town begging, all over radio stations, made videos with random fans in parking lots shitting on the Lakers..

Yep, I do.

I'm telling you, the time(s) the Heats visit Cleveland will be epic this year.

Please tell me they play there twice this upcoming season... please.

I wonder how many season tickets they'll sell this year? They've gotta be pumped to witness the Mo-Pete/Jamison show.

And hopefully that'll be a nationally televised game. It better be.

The Drive. The Fumble. The Shot. And now the Departure.

It just never ends for this city... and yes I do feel their pain.

However, the good news is that now the rest of world can see the King for the fraud that he really is.

I felt bad 4 the city & the team until the Cavs owner put LaBrick on blast. Cuz I'm sure he was/would've sucked LaBricks dick to get him to stay in Cleveland!so now I just feel sorry for the fans, their town, etc. But at the same time I was hoping he went to Chi to keep competion going in the East. Not only LaBrick but Wade, Bosh, Shaq(if he goes 4 the min), an Miller are all cowards in my eyes! You can't beat Kobe so you all join forces!

even though the last 2 seasons his team did win 60+ games, its all brons doing anyway...they still did what they can with that roster, but FO did fck up signin trash around him

I'm really sorry for cleveland!

Would have liked two scenarios:

1) just staying there...kind of the TD approach...cleveland deserves it!
2) playing with Stat in NY...I hate Stat and now I like him not getting a chapionship in his whole career, but would have been the head to head matchups between Wade/Bosh and LeBron/Stat have been fun...with CHI, ORL and BOS having nice teams too?

imo he shouldve went to NY, win 1 ring there they worship his ass...at least revive teh rivalry against teh heat and make the east more interesting with more contenders...
