View Full Version : The Heat Trio just BOOSTED Kobe's legacy

Imagine if Kobe can beat a trio of those superstars 2 of which are considered top 5 in the NBA. What will that do to his legacy? Would that solidify him as #2 greatest player of all time? Does he get a step closer to Jordan? I don't recall ever Jordan beating a team filled with superstars like the Heat. IMO if Kobe can beat the Heat that will be a MAJOR BOOST to his legacy.

won't happen
Kobe will shot 40% like always, and his team will try and bail him out.
only this time.... the opposing team has LeBron, Wade, Bosh, and Mike Miller.

Kobe > Lebron
However the Lakers will not beat this team. Well not if Kobe plays like he did against Boston. Kobe while better than Wade there's not a huge drop off. In fact its close and same for Bosh and Gasol. Lebron obviously is much better than Artest.

I think Kobe just gained a ton of respect from me last night, sure he has Pau Gasol, but he does not need Bosh and Wade both, thinking that them 3 can even win a championship (wade,bosh,lebron).

Bynum is a choke. Think of this Duncan needed Manu and Parker who were 3 times better then Artest Odom and Bynum back in our title days.

What about every other team including your Spurs? What did they do to deserve this? This affects every team, not just LA.

ok you just said that Kobe > Lebron...and Kobe > Wade and Bosh=Gasol....how bout Odom/Artest/Bynum/Blake...are they chop liver?
and your conclusion from your analysis is that the Lakers lose.
You lost me somewhere in your explanation.

:lol Kobe's supporting cast..
When you go 6-24 in game 7 of the NBA Finals, and your team still wins, that speaks volumes about your supporting cast..

Ok let me rephase. I send Kobe>Lebron legacy wise. Lebron has tons of talent and his physical gifts also may push him over Kobe. However he couldn't take the pressure of leading a team to win it all therefore Kobe>Lebron.

Then fortunate for Kobe, because unless Miami can become far and away the best at team defense in the league, he wont be having trouble landing his shots.
Also Bosh = Pau only in terms of scoring ability. Otherwise Pau roasts Bosh.

The only problem I had with Kobe is when he threatened to leave the Lakers after a couple first round exits five years ago.

I never said Bosh = Pau. Pau is a better defender so I say the edge goes to Pau but its not a big edge is all I'm saying.

Jumpshooter = Bosh
Inside Post game = Pau
Pau = Finals experience
Bosh = Little playoffs experience
Bigger edge than you think. Experience matters. Inside/out big man > Jumpshooting big man.

I said in the other thread Bosh needs his playoff cherry popped.
