View Full Version : No real leader

Watching this year it seems to me that this team doesn't have that one player that gets after the others (smacks them upside the head so to speak)and gets them all on the same page.
I guess Tim is the leader by status alone, but it's not real defined. At times you can sort of tell he is and other times it's like who's the leader on this team.

This is the way I see them

Tim - Superstar/Allstar (Lets his game speak for him)
Tony - "Potential" Allstar Point Guard (should be leader by now)
Manu - Chaotic Allstar(shows the qualities at times, he might become it)
Bruce - Defense specialist (probably not)
Rasho - Center (afraid of the rim rasho I think not)
Rob - The timely shot maker (could be I guess)
Glenn - Scorer (Too new)
Devin - Sparkplug (whatever coach wants him to do)
Barry - Vet w/high bb IQ (uncertain about role)
Nazr - Tough effective center (Too new)
Beno - Talented rookie (rookie)
Tony M - Well traveled banger (nope)
Mike - Reliable point guard (who knows)

SOMEONE LEAD THE PACK DAMMIT!

Tim leads the pack, period (remember the OT game when he fouled out?) Some of the other guys will step up to lead with him. Have some faith. Spurs will pull this one out, and be better off for it, mental toughness-wise.

Tony or Manu need to stand up to Pop. Of course, they will be out of here like AJ, Mario, and Sjax but until then Pop is "el dictator".

our three guns share this burden. time to let the play do the talking again.

This is a good post. Tim can't be the leader because he gets really "stoich" when things get tough.

I'd pick Manu. He may have to be angry sometimes, but he is capable of carrying the team and is respected by all.
