I agree. worse than the ref in the finals which everyone is rightly criticizing.

what pisses me off most, is that i'm already hearing about how spain won playing pretty, that they were the most offensive team defeating the dirty dutch bla bla bla (sidenote- the dutch were dirty all tournament, its just no other ref carded for fouling from behind till this game, can't really blame them for thinking they'll get away with it). fact is they barely squeaked out a goal a game and had a relatively easy path to the semis, and were it not for a horrible call would likely have not made it there. the goals they did score were broken plays, luck of the bounce... with the most important coming on a set piece.. and the "nicest" being, ironically enough, individual plays. and spain also flopped and pulled jerseys and threw elbows and all of it. and i saw them sit on the ball at the half line vs 10 man chile for half an hour praying to themselves not to fuck it up.

i understand people want teams to play "the right way", but does reality really support it?? or am i just the biggest hater on the planet! :king :downspin:
