Could RJ go to Mavs?

Haven't heard much on him recently, and not sure what the Mavs financial situation is. But it struck me last night that he could choose to reunite with Kidd who provided him easy buckets in NJ and seems like Cuban would try something like this to make noise. Is this even remotely possible?
