Stern on NBA tv now denouncing Lebron's "iil conceived barely produced and ill advised" decision...More talking about the way it happened, he doesn't have a problem with Lebron perusing free agency.

About Dan Gilbert - was catalyzed about the manner and the fact. 100 thousand? dollar fine for the Cavs.

The CBA is what it is, the numbers are closer than what they might seem, the players association just doesn't like them. But we like the system the way it is.

The triumvirate coming together - is what it is we discussed at length how the CBA can be tweaked.

Revenue sharing to become more robust, so every team can compete.

Well played by Stern. He knew a boatload of people would tune in to watch it so he doesn't do anything beforehand to stop it. Afterwards, Stern sees the majority of the public not approving of how Lebron handled it so Stern comes out and denounces it. It's all about image and Stern knows how to play that game.

Q/A
Collusion on the triumvirate? - three players are totally within their right to do what they did. No collusion is involved. I would be happy to receive the charge, and will look into it.

Tampering charge? - wait for a team to request an investigation. nothing at this time rises to that level.

Happy for Lebron? my reaction is congratulations to Miami and Lebron, everyone has a right to do what they did in a fair and open way.

Discounts from the max? He doesn't mind if the drive to win outweighs the money.

Revenue increases impact on CBA? Expenses go with it....owners can't sustain...Owners are driven to win. Revenue came at a large cost of additional promotions. Blah Blah Blah.

Tweaking free agency? Yes it was delegated to labor relations committee.:lmao

Why are the players asked to save the owners from themselves? your numbers are off. it is unsustainable for the teams to spend up to the cap or something like that, it was a horribly mumbled answer.

What can you say about teams like Memphis or Toronto not being able to lure free agents like the triumvirate - Look at San Antonio, Portland, and Utah for small market teams being successful, (non answer- not through free agency Stern.)

CBA resolution - the gap hasn't closed at all. but we will be resilient.

Lockout? only 1 failure thus far in 1998, even though many of the bargainings have started poorly.
