He's been to the top of the mountain three times. What else is left for him in SA? TD's career is nearing its end and Pop will likely leave at the same time. He could head to NYC and take part in reviving a moribund Knicks team. Maybe he just loves NYC. He can make a lot of $ in NY as a Knick, especially when compared playing out his career in SA. I agree with you, but I think she'd be equally as excited to have him in LA with her, and he'd be very happy to be making max money, on a grand stage, and with a good team around him. I would think the only untouchable would be Blake Griffin. Del Negro got a raw deal in Chicago and is a good coach imo. Add John Lucas as an assistant coach and I think Tony would be going to a team with a good staff in place.

The only question is whether there is anyone on this roster the Spurs would want in return. Otherwise, it should be ride out the season to give our Spurs the best shot at a ring, and then just let Tony walk away at the end.

If the Spurs win the title and Tony still walks, so be it.

But even then, Manu's minutes have to be really limited. I'd like the same thing as with TD...4 minutes to start the game...4 minutes to end the half....4 minutes to start the 3rd...and 8 minutes to finish the 4th. 20 total. Keep him fresh.
