Jul 13, 2010 - Juwan Howard is -- finally -- on the verge of joining the Miami Heat. According to Ira Winderman of the Miami Sun-Sentinel, the 37-year old Howard is expected to come to terms with the Heat on a minimum-salary deal as Miami continues to try to fill out its mostly barren roster.

Howard really surprised me last year, I didn't know he had that much left in the tank..he was good defensively and made his mid-range jump shot consistently..with Big Z and Howard, they have some good veteran depth off the bench for situational purposes..

They still need a legit C, but if they don't get one, at least they have a lot of depth up front for foul purposes..

Juwan Howard is solid, even at 36. The guy can still produce a double-double every now and then, given 20-30 minutes.

Raja doesn't want to play for the Heat, regardless of what you've seen in the papers. He was disgusted by what he saw happen last week and, being the competitor he is, wants to play against those assholes rather than with them.
