In a game you want to win, sure. In a game you want to show you are a complete player, you show all your skillset (if you have it). Pop couldn't give two shits if they win or lose this game.

Pop's not going to reward a guy for attempting a three when there's a lane to the basket. Just not gonna happen.

I think it depends on the situation.. hes playing well defensively as well. Its not like the only thing hes done all game is drive and dunk. It would be nice to get some good jumpers off and show a complete offensive game.. but the coaches could be telling him to continue to be aggressive. His offense was a big reason why we built that big lead.. I cant see the coaches telling him to shoot more jumpers.

I noticed neither Lomers nor Brian Davis have logged a single minute in Summer League play. Are they hurt or just that far down the bench?

Sad when you don't even get garbage time minutes in Summer League. I at least wanted to see them play a little.

What I don't understand that we could not find better players to be in our summer league. I mean if I was an undrafted SF or PF/C I would be calling the Spurs to try to get with them knowing I have a chance to either get into the NBA or get with the D-League and have a decent chance moving up.

Going back to last year Jerrels sucked when we called him up the guy is a poor mans Hill why is he even on the team? I understand Temple, Gee and Gist but come on we should have been able to get better players then what we have.

They should have invited more SF and what the hell is the kid from Boerne doing on the team. I understand the draft was short on SF but they were a good group of bigs that went undrafted we should have invited. I know we got Splitter but Dice is long in the tooth and Duncan aint getting any younger.

I might be in the extreme minority here.. but if hes fully healthy, I think he should play at least one game for a few minutes for the summer league team, not to go out and impress and carry the team or anything, just get familiarized with the system and get some shots up.

Neal is a very good player in Europe. I doubt he will accept a training camp invite without a bunch of guaranteed money in it. I don't see Spurs giving him that guaranteed money while SG is their most crowded spot.

Lomers can block some shots and can score around the basket, but he's actually as foul prone as people say Mahinmi was.

i liked the way he attacked and drew fouls in game 2......still iffy about his defense though....y cant these guys watch some bowen tape and learn a thing or 2 about how to defend....

He is slow footed, and foul prone. Plus when he's getting abused (which is a usual occurrence) he cheap shots his man.

Oh, one block auired, and a couple turnover arent so bad..his lack of perimeter shooting is worse IMO.
