An investment group seeking to build an arena on the Las Vegas strip claims it is on the cusp of purchasing an NBA team to play in the facility...

Which team you think will it be going their if everything works out?
I honestly think Clippers should move because two teams in one city is kinda fucked up when their is no NBA team in cities like Seattle, Las Vegas etc..

The Suns if their fans stop showing up to games. Sarver has been deeply involved with the committee trying to get a team in Vegas, and he doesn't give two shits about the city of Phoenix. If he sees an opportunity to move the Suns to Vegas and Stern doesn't get in his way, it would undoubtedly happen.

Move the Kings to Vegas.....Make Sterling sell the Clippers to Allen and move them to Seattle. I think both moves would be great for the NBA.

Clippers.
That's the only choice.
Should not have 2 basketball teams in the same city, and the Clippers need a fresh start.
Erase that horrible curse, new name, new jerseys, new city.
Fuck yeah. Clippers.
I'm shocked most of you said Kings and not Clippers.

I've seen many of your posts (The best of which being that story where you cheated on your GF ad pounded some latina in the ass) and this might be the only time I've agreed with you

Probably the Kings... but with Sarver thinking he's running a bank instead of a ball club, you never know...

:tu: the clippers have nowhere to survive being tamed in the same city with Lakers. even though LA has the 2nd largest population among all US cities, there's still too little room for Clippers to survive because 99% of them are Laker fans or wagoners.
LV Clippers we expect...

The Maloof brothers who own the Kings and the Palms Hotel/Casino should build an arena next to the Palms.

The Clippers exist as a middle-class alternative to the Lakers in a city filled with transplants. They do need a new owner, name, logo, unis, as well as a move to the Pond in Anaheim to carve out a different identity. Sharing the Staples Center with LA and getting second dibs on dates is so second-class. I can't believe Stern won't force out an embarrassment like Sterling.
Honestly, the Grizz and Bobcats are probably the two franchises with the least passionate fanbases and basketball heritage/history.

Would Stern allow it? He wasn't too big a fan of Las Vegas after the 07 All-Star Game.

Agreed with everything. The logos and uniforms have been embarrassingly bad for a long time. Playing 2nd fiddle to the Lakers and Kings in Staples is pathetic.
But from what I understand it is all to Sterling's financial benefit so he has little incentive to change.
The Kings are the team that would head to Las Vegas. Too bad for Sac.
Pistons < Spurs

It had better not be my Pistons.
For those unaware, Detroit is currently for sale. It's been said they expect the team to be sold by the start of the season.

Sacro is my guess, but my question is this:
Would Stern allow it? He wasn't too big a fan of Las Vegas after the 07 All-Star Game.
I'm happy insomuch as I'm a Jazz fan. That's two road games a year that are about a 30 minute flight away.

If it is Detroit, somebody's going to have to slide East to accommodate the conference alignment. NOH maybe?

Cool. You know what's crazy? That Chile's coast is farther east than Florida. That shit doesn't seem right; I picture it south of Arizona.

Damn, I hope it's not Detroit, but it wouldn't be all that surprising the way Michigan's economy has been in the shitter since GM went to Mexico 25 years ago. :(
Then again, Vegas? How many people have much disposable income out there right now with the housing crash having its epicenter there?

The Kings.
This. The Kings is the most likely scenario because of the Maloofs...

I honestly forgot the Pistons even existed. They've been so quiet lately.
I think it'll be the Kings or Clippers. Kings makes the most sense because of the Maloofs and their desire for a new arena that hasn't been awarded to them yet, not to mention that they own a casino there.

On a related note, is anyone worried about David Stern's health? He might have strained something changing direction on a franchise in Vegas so abruptly...

The league is just going to expand again and give us another crap team that won't matter.
Clippers--Kings--Cavs in that order
