Raja Bell won't be meeting face-to-face with longtime nemesis Kobe Bryant after all.

He's signing with the Utah Jazz instead.

Sources with knowledge of the deal told ESPN.com that Bell and the Jazz have agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth nearly $10 million, forcing Bell to cancel his sit-down in Los Angeles with Bryant that had been scheduled for Wednesday.

i don't mind bell not joining the lakers but the jazz? I would've thought the spurs or the heat??? have fun ending your career as a role player on a 1st round exit team.

No sense in trying to make a silk purse out of sow's ear. It's a loss for us. He'd a been absolutely ideal in Los Angeles.

And like PG says above, he'll rot there in SLC for no reason whatsoever.

The best part of this is that Wes Matthews is now officially a Blazer!

I would of liked Bell on this team ...

BUT he would of made the most difference on the Heat ...

So him not going there is the biggest plus of teh deal plus that is too much $ anyway ...

Congrats Bell and Utah ...

Hell yeah Raja. He had to leave before, but he's always spoken kindly about his previous stint in Utah and Coach Sloan. This caught me off guard because I thought Ronnie Brewer would be our target in lieu of matching for Matthews. And I'd still rather have Matthews, but hell yeah Raja.

lol hating a team so much that you can't realize that signing this guy for 3 mil a year is phenomenal.

people should stop kobe from recruiting, its hard to get a guy to sign with your team when, during a one hour lunch there is 56 minutes of awkward silence

Quiet as kept Utah did well considering they lost Boozer, korver and will lose matthews ...

Al jeff and Bell are solid replacements (if healthy) kudos to jazz ...

If they get a shooter they would be set ...

Obviously he needed or wanted the extra money. For most guys money is above winning.
