5 years / $25 million? Lakers had offered Miller more money and gave him a deadline to accept before they signed Blake. He hesitated, perhaps thinking he would get better money and he ends up losing money. Miller has a reputation as being one of those guys you get excited about getting and then after you have him for a while you are a little disappointed so we'll see how much he helps Miami. Certainly for the money it's a good signing. No way is he worth the money he was getting on his last contract.

He will have open looks all season long with DWade and LeBron getting double teamed or with their drive and dish styles...

I can see Wade, Miller, LeBron, Haslem and Bosh closing out many, many games this season

GO HEAT GO!

Actually, Miller had no interest to play for the Lakers.

quote from his agent's blog

Miller met with Heat officials in Los Angeles shortly after free agency started July 1. ``In the elevator [that night], Mike told me that if [Pat Riley] could pull of a LeBron James-Dwyane Wade-Chris Bosh trifecta, he'd be South Florida bound.''

if Miller signed with the Lakers, he would be the best 3-point shooter in the NBA and live up to all the expectations :lol..instead, he's a disappointment before he's played any games with the Heat..

Great signing. Now just add a starting center and get Riley as the coach and the team is pretty much set.

You know supposedly there comparing pittman to perkins , i think its intresting to see how these two rookie centers play . I know varnado is a shotblocker and pittman is banger .

I think both of those guys could be solid off the bench (I like Pittman and Varnado) but does Miami see either one as starting material for next season?

I would like to see the Heat go with a CBC, center by committee... kinda like the NFL does with running backs.

We already have big Z, sign Joel Anthony, and keep our 2 rookie Centers who are NBA ready.

Yea thats the thing , and thats one thing that worries me if pat riley coaches the man doesnt give rookies a chance .

He might have to unless they can sign someone else.

The only other center we can sign thats halfway decent is Kwame Brown .

Brown is a good paint defensive player. He has bad hands and a low-iq but thats all moot. He just needs to defend and get rebounds.
