Adrian Wojnarowski just now on the Jim Rome show said during the 2006 Olympic training camps James was acting like a Primadonna with Staff and coaches & Bowen was the only one to call him out on it.

No surprise that bowen would do so.
BUT I have to admit it seems that yahoo Andy has beef with lebron ...not Skip Bayless level ...but there is SOMETHING.
I'm all for calling out any player when they deserve it, even MJ with his HOF speech ...but it needs to be legit.

Wojnarowski is starting to look like a LeBron hater all of a sudden. I agree with his point about The Decision, but bringing this stuff out now sounds just butthurt.

Now's the time to leech on LeBron's popularity if you're in the media anyway.

Explains how Tayshaun Prince got the wing defender role on that team.

From Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski to managing director Jerry Colangelo to NBA elders, the issue of James’ immaturity and downright disrespectfulness had become a consuming topic on the march to the Olympics.

that was the one where Hill tossed it to RJ and he made the game winner right?

Not too far past the heels of the 2007 Finals, where LBJ took 90 shots to come up with 88 points, Bruce had a pretty solid basis for calling him out (and pretty solid standing to do it, too).

this is about the 2006 worlds not about the 2008 Olympics... IIRC Bowen was the last cut of the 2006 worlds and wasn't part of the pre tournament team in 2008 :wakeup

Yep Bruce called out his ass, as we found out it's something 12 is good at after the Mike Bascik thing, then was given the chance to dominate his ass on the quest for 4. Must have been a pleasure to take LeBitch down.

What else is Woj going to write about? Basketball is out of season and Lebron leaving is the story of the decade.

Besides, I like reading the stories. He's got some great sources.

i don't know why people find all of Lebron's antics surprising. he's a little bitch that probably undermined a lot of coaches, including Mike Brown. all that picture-posing shit that he did before games, etc. you don't think Mike Brown didn't want that?

fuck Lebron. dude is a tool who hasn't won shit. most overrated athlete i've ever seen, seriously. as good as he is, he's WAY overrated.

I bet this shocked poor LeBron.

I wonder how long it had been since someone told him to quit acting like a baby and he wasn't as great as he thought he was. I wonder how many people have told him that since this too.

can someone explain how Lebron was acting like a baby?

was he crying to the coaches for something? his bottle? his pacifier? maybe his diapers needed to be changed?

the verdict is in. lebron is douche bag. if bowen saw it back then, then it's clearly not the media's fault. Lebron has only himself to blame. problem is he won't.

This writer, Woj whoever he is...this guy is the douche.

He's on an absolute witch hunt.

All LBJ did was leave ice cold, snowy Loserville and go to live on the ocean where it's 80 degrees all year long and play hoop with his buddies. What on earth is the big deal?

Prince James has been like this since he was 15. Hyped to the extreme. Is there anyone less LeBronesque than Bruce Bowen? Struggled until he hooked up with the Spurs at age 30 and found his nitch. The Spurs have still not been able to replace what he brought to the table nitely. Get that banner up there, soon.

I knew Lebron was a douchebag the moment I saw this. Jackass needs to have some respect for the game.

It'd be embarrassing to dance around like that if he'd won something. The fact that he hasn't makes it downright disgraceful.

Bowen is at least the 3rd ex-Spur to have problems working with LeBron -- and all for pretty much the same reason. They all felt that LeBron was a prima donna who wanted to run the show even though he was just one player in a team sport.

Apparently, Danny Ferry and Mike Brown warned Cavs ownership to resist their impulses and not to give LeBron everything he wanted. Otherwise, it would be impossible top maintain discipline and, ultimately, acheive a championship. And then, in the end, LeBron would leave due to such lack of discipline and success, in part due to the atmosphere he helped create.

What do these ex-Spurs have in common? They all had experience with a LeBron-level superstar who took the complete opposite approach. Duncan wanted to be one of the guys and fit within a system larger than his own personal brand. Whether instinctively, or through Pop's teaching, Duncan knew the way to ultimate success was not through demands, individual glory, and ostentacious behavior.

Cleveland just wasn't as lucky when fate dealt them their star.

I dont get how some people still defend this guy.

He's as fake as they come. He showed his true colors when his team lost to the Magic in 2009 and he was acting like such a baby. And of course his stupid dancing and constant need for attention. He aint Jordan and he'll never be.

IMO, the true superstar in this league is Kevin Durant. Classy guy, doesnt need attention, great talent.

mingus

i think Kevin Durant will have the better career when all is said and done. so will Kobe, Duncan, and Shaq.

LBJ = we're all witnesses ... to you not being able to come close to the hype.

That's an awesome story and I'm glad to hear it. If it was from 2006, its even better because Bruce would have had the last laugh after sweeping Queen James. Witness ? WINLESS (4-0)

That's right, I'm living in the past until we turn this shit around.

Is u srs we got AJ up there, Bowen should've at least won one DPOY and if you got a DPOY on yo team for like 39 years, and if in those 52 years he was a starter on 3 championship teams, then you put him up in the rafters
