I am sitting here at work trying to concentrate but all i can think about is tonight's game 5. I have never been so nervous about a non finals game in all my years as a spurs fan. If they lose this series it will be an utter disaster they have to pull this thing together and get it done.

No crap, pondering the idea of leaving for lunch to spend the afternoon at fast eddies, work up a buzz and hit the SBC. Kinda lame how this series ended up with no Fri/Sat night games....

This day has started out SLOW, and I have a feeling it will continue to be just that. I wish I was off work...It's slow here today too.... I was nervous last season when the Lakers tied us up because they had a team that I knew could beat us in San Antonio. The Sonics however, I'm not sure they can beat us here. Game 3 was a fluke but they clearly beat us in Game 4. This team is not better then us, no way. I'm confident in a win tonight and I expect us to come out with alot of energy.

Welllll, I'm sure the Sonics won't come into the SBC and win. Manu will have a monster game..Nazr needs to shatter the glass tonight..

These are the times that the fact that my team sucks right now really pisses me off! It is soo much fun to be in a playoff series like this! I yearn for the days when we are good again.

I was more nervous when I played with tlong in golf in Portland last Summer.
Every time I bent over to put my tee in the ground, I was very nervous.

I'm actually not nervous, in all honesty. Call me overconfident or worse, but I really think the Spurs are gonna kick Seattle in their collective nuts and run them out of the barn called the SBC Center.
Having said that, I cannot wait to watch it, but it doesn't start until 10:30 PM here in Brazil.

Anybody gonna put a few cold ones back tonight? Any wine connoisseurs in the house?
MadDog73
05-17-2005, 02:40 PM
No, I wish I knew more about wine. What is a good, but inexpensive Merlot?
As for beer, I plan to have a Tecate and then a Guinness. Then, unforunately, I'm stuck with drinking Miller Lite that my father-in-law left at my house. :(

If you are nervous it means only two things,
A Your new as a Spurs fan
B you have little faith in your team

This from a fan who can't even watch games live! :lol :lmao :drunk
Whew. Anyways, true fans get caught up in the game. We get nervous, excited, angry, etc. If you are smiling the whole time you are watching a BB game you are:
A on drugs
B an uncaring pseudo-fan.

Blazers back when?
Teams better chance than them of getting to playoffs next year in West:
GS, Lakers, Clipps, and possibly Utah.
Thong needs to adopt the Spurs!

If Thong is a Blazer fan then he is a Blazer fan....just because his team has been out of the mix for a while doesn't mean he should jump ship.....people here have fit when a Spurs fan does it....why should he?

Good point, the lakers series were about good fighting evil... this is just the Sonics, and, like the lakers, they won't be around next year.
BTW, it's official, I am useless at work waiting for the game to start.

That might be the key to weather or not Mavs win or lose.

Ditto! Sitting here in Dallas watching the clock. Now, we have to put up with watching the Indiana/Det borefest that will seem like an eternity while each team struggles to score once ever 8 possessions.
