We upgraded vBulletin and there are some changes.

One main thing is that you can now stop people from spamming/leaving unwanted messages on your profile page.

Go here to change your privacy settings:
http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/profile.php?do=privacy

If you switch the drop down mean to "Your Friends" instead of "Everyone", then only people on your friends list can see your contact info, profile picture, visitor messages, etc.

This will stop anyone but Your Friends from leaving messages on your profile.

There are some other changes too (I'm not sure what :) ). Look around and see if you see anything different in your control panel.

I want to change my avatar, but now it says max. is 180 x100 pixels which is down from 180 x120. The new dimensions are a bit odd I think. I'm just wondering if I change it and I don't like the look, can I still put my old one back at 180 x120?

It's usually only slow when a bunch of people are using the search function. I'll see what we can do about it.

It's not a big issue, i just noticed in the past month that the server was kinda slow sometimes and i found it wierd, because it was fast the whole season.

You should try to integrate Sphinx search engine.

Or maybe set up a special db user for searches and limit his connections/number of queries.

Kori, also the size of the sig is odd now. I was trying to make my sig smaller but the max accepted is 500 x 100 pixels----makes me very small one way and very loooong the other way :)

The avatar size should be back to normal now - so yes, you should be able to put the old one back up. I'm not sure about the sigs - I'll have timvp check.
