You shouldn't be so butthurt about it since whoever made it obviously feels a sense of accomplishment right now.

I thought about that before making the thread, but I would have rather cock-blocked the troll first, since there is plenty of material to work with about me :lol(riding Lebron, Kobe, bandwagon fan from NY, ellipses)..

People are saying I got trolled before the poster was active, which I acknowledge, but it would have been worse if I hadn't made the thread IMO, as we've seen with many of the mock trolls of posters here..

Does being called HarlemHo bother you so much that you would try and take that troll off the market to minimize being made fun of. Then create a thread to forewarn the board. That's kind of chicken shit on your part HarlemHo.

HarlemHo is a lame nickname, as I've said before, I've heard a lot better..that's also wrong, as I said, somebody already made the HarlemHo troll, it was most likely you, TBH..I probably saved you face though, I doubt you would have been clever enough to deal with the material..your entire shtick is trolling gray Spurs fans..

I dig late 90s, early 2000s electronica. Bands like Underworld, Chemical Brothers (at the time, they're garbage now), Massive Attack, Orbital, Aphex Twin, etc, were like nothing ever heard before. I discovered this music by watching Hackers and Trainspotting, and when I first heard it, I was like "Whoa. What the fuck is that!"

Today, electronic music is much less diverse. The only concern the artists seem to have is making their music the most dancey, catchy, and club friendly as possible.

In February 1975 Jethro Tull sold out five nights at the 20,000-seater Los Angeles Forum, prompting the Melody Maker to run the headline “Jethro – Now The World’s Biggest Band?” Indeed the venues became so huge that by 1976 Tull had become one of the first bands to use giant screens for stadium shows – nicknamed “Tull-A-Vision”.

http://www.j-tull.com/discography/minstrel/index.cfm

After achieving the position of Number one album in the UK charts, Tull, initially in the shadow of Led Zeppelin and others, began the explosive ascent to the lofty heights of U.S. stardom, culminating during the next three years in the cover stories of Time and Rolling Stone magazines, five nights at the Forum in Los Angeles and three nights at Madison Square Gardens, New York.

That's all fine and good. But Jethro Tull at their peak (mid to late 70s) wasn't as good a live band as The Who during their peak (late 60s to mid 70s).

Nevermind, I see you said Rolling Stone, so of course it's wrong. Their top 100 guitarists list is a joke.

I was mistaken. Live at Leeds ranks fouth behind James Brown "Live at the Apollo," Allman's Fillmore, and Cash's "Folsom Prison."

Don't usually agree with Rolling Stone, since they put pleasing mainstream tastes above actually writing music journalism, but I was simply using their list to demonstrate a point that Live at Leeds is beyond respected as a live album and is unquestionably one of the top 5 live albums of all time.

How do you (Post-Rock experts) feel about Talk Talk?

It's actually strange to see Talk Talk transform from 80's New Wave to Post-Rock. One could say that Spirit of Eden was their Kid A.

this pages long, up your own ass, musical taste cock measuring contest that's been going on has driven me over the edge.

No matter how rock-hard and throbbing your e-wang gets over how badass and diverse your musical taste is, all this talk of how Explosions in the Sky is the Blink-182 of post-rock while Amusement Parks On Fire is the wannabe shoegaze version of wannabe smashing pumpkins wannabe shoegaze WON'T MAKE YOUR ACTUAL DICKS ANY BIGGER.

All of you have literally made me vomit in my own mouth. Have fun trying to get laid by explaining the difference between Faggy Indie Hipster Douche Masturbatory Love Fest Band A and Faggy Indie Hipster Douche Masturbatory Love Fest Band B.

You think you're so fucking hip with your musical taste, but unfortunately 99% of the bands posted here are on Elijah Wood's iTunes Celebrity Playlist, so enjoy jerking off to your musical listening genius with Frodo, you fucking faggots.

I quit SpursTalk.

Truthfully, I think its genetic that every kid under the age of 25 always thinks they are some kind of expert in music. It never fails really.

Then some people stay that way the rest of their life. The funniest part to me is the 900,000 different classifications. Post-this, Pre-that etc. :lol

Sadly, in the Southern California communities of Los Feliz and Silverlake, this is the only way you can get laid.

I'm sure you've ran into these type of Buddy Holly glasses wearing, sporting the Whitesnake vintage t-shirt for irony, skinny jeaned and Chuck Taylor shoed chicks in Austin?

Animal Collective and Wolf Parade are to these girls is what Robert Pattinson and Taylor Whatever are to tweens.

Yeah Austin is cool but those faggots are pretty vomit-inducing. What I love most are how every indie hipster douche store out there has a wall dedicated to "Quentin Tarantino Sucks!" t-shirts to show how nonconformist you are.

Well, I never hear of these meaningless classifications until I look up some band up on Wikipedia or read a thread like this. Not really that into music so it happens maybe twice a year. Honestly though, I think this thread may have been the first time I heard of post-rock. The funniest part of all this was when Explosions in the Sky called themselves a rock band and said they wanted to be called a rock band, but everyone ignored them and classified them something else. Can't remember/don't care what it was. But that was a great moment in music fan pretentiousness.

true but even more pretentious is how EITS will actually come on stage after their performance to explain to the audience how their show is a complete "experience" and therefore an encore would cheapen the "experience" for the viewer.
