Despite all his past mistakes, will he be more respected by 'real' NBA fans than Lecoatrider is?

He already is more respected than Lebron.

No. He should be laughed at for staying on that suck ass team in Denver.

.......or he could demand a trade and then do a backflip like the rapist

He should wait out the year and sign with the Hornets, to be completely and utterly truthful.

Of all the stars from the 2003 draft class, Melo is by far my favorite. I hope he wins wherever he goes. Offensively, I don't think he's any worse than Lebron. Lebron is a better passer and is a lot more athletic, but Melo has a way better jumper, has actually developed moves and a skillset, and can actually use his body.

Not for me.

There is no loyalty in sports.

The only way he'd get more respect from me is if he re-signed with the Nuggets for $8 million a year or less and tell the Nuggets, "okay, use everything you save by not giving me a max contract and find a way to get CP3 and then sign another guy like Al Horford.

Now that would earn respect. But of course he's not going to leave $40 million over three years to do something like that.

He should do what he can to be on a team that's in the best position to win among the options he has. If it's staying, fine. But he doesn't get more respect because he signs an extension that nets him over $20 million a year. Not from me anyway.

Lots of people converse with themselves through their trolls. No big deal.

Tbh unless Carmelo starts making more deep playoff runs he is kind of an afterthought at this point.

Fuck NO! This whole respect thing is bullshit that people throw out (mainly Laker fans) to stain the legacy of Lebron. I would hate to see the big market teams get richer but I wouldn't respect him less if he left.

Definitely has a better post game as well.
