Looking for an NBA team to hitch your bandwagon to?

Sick of your favorite team making dumb decisions?

Tired of your teams best player leaving for greener pastures (Cleveland, Toronto), getting injured (LA Clippers) or demanding to be traded (New Orleans)?

Need to find a team to root for in the playoffs and possibly beyond for the foreseeable future?......

Actually the top 5 reason that are listed on that website are:

5. Kevin Durant
4. Sam Prestl
3. Oklahoma City
2. Talented Youth
1. The best chance to prevent the Heat from winning a title.

Except for the fact they are a stolen franchise through shady, behind the scenes manipulations and Stern's desire to bend over every city's taxpayers for lavish arena's at no actual owner expense.

That team, that team's future should belong to Seattle and its fans. That alone is reason not to bandwagon them.

How did OKC suddenly become this title contender? Last I checked the Lakers were the leaders in the west.

OKC was Lakers biggest challange when they were getting to the Finals.(Even Bryant admitted it) Lakers coud've had lost that series if Gasol wouldn't have saved them with a tip in at the buzzer.

Plus OKC only won seven games less than the Lakers during regular season

LA 57-25
OKC 50-32

Thats perfect timing.... Kobe, Gasol, Artest, and Odom's contract would all be done by then:king

That's a great accomplishment for the Thunder in a tough western conference... this year though is going to be a little be different Kobe and Pau are going to be rested, Artest has one more year under the triangle, Bynum (if healthy) and Pau have another year learning how to play together, and the Laker's bench is ALOT better than last year.

Didnt Lebron say the same thing a few years back?

You can't even compare the two. KD signed a longer extension than Lebron and he already has more help than Lebron did, so he won't have a reason to leave OKC when his contract runs out.

Biggems

because of Durant, OKC is my second favorite team. I wish they could have signed Ian, but he went to Dallas instead. Still, they have nice young nucleus, and they look like they will be making noise in the West for the next several years.

This.

And
Sam Presti>>>>>Cavs GM
Russell Westbrook>>>Mo Williams

KD and Bron are two very different people. Bron loves attention while Durant is way too humble

Seattle wasn't even selling out consistently for years. OKC at least has got them beat there...even though it's because there's absolutely nothing else to do in OKC. Still.

That's something I don't really fault Seattle fans for, that arena was such a dump I don't even think homeless people found it worthwhile to dig through their trash cans.

I was always a Sonic fan and when I heard that they will move I was really upset. I still like the players from the team even though most of them only played a year in Seattle or none. Except for Nick Collison he played in Seattle for a while.

Yeah I feel betrayed by the team owner I think its pretty fucked up to buy a team and than just jack it from the city because our arena is "fucked up" or whatever the fake reason Stern and Clay Bennett made up.

BrokenArrow35

Yes it is a shame what happened to Seattle but as an Oklahoma resident I am just happy to finally have a professional sports team in the state. I do feel bad for the seattle fans, but they do have the mariners and the seahawks at least. All sooners have is college and nba now. It's nice to have a team to cheer for.

Only live 4 hours from Dallas, just outside of Tulsa, so I do like the Cowboys and I am still a Mavs fan, but its not the same as having a team in your own state imo.

Thunder and Durant are becoming over rated... i think they get the 3-6 seed and a second round exit at best. They need a legitimate bigman to take that next step.

We got a center Aldrich in this years draft from Kansas but does anybody know if that guy is any good?

I think he'll be a good role player. The certainly drafted in the area of greatest need.

I wouldn't count on Jeff Green suddenly turning into anything special though. But the OKC FO sure seems to be high on him

Yeah..that has a lot to do with the fact that you're an idiot...and the fact that Durant was just signed to a max extension. Two more things...one..have you ever lived in San Antonio? Two...who said I lived in San Antonio?

By the way...gotta love how Durant let everyone know about where he was going...he didn't need no damn 1 hour special. The REAL face of the NBA just tweeted..

"Extension for 5 more years wit the thunder....God Is Great, me and my family came a long way...I love yall man forreal, this a blessing!" Durant tweeted.

Another post soon followed, presumably about the contract: "First time i cried n a while ... RIp Chucky, we doin wat we dreamed about..i swear i love all my bros!! yessir!!!

"Chucky" is one of Durant's former coaches, Charles Craig, who was shot to death in Maryland in 2005.

I'd have to say OKC is probably my second favorite team. I really like Durant and Westbrook, and it seems like the team has a very bright future...unlike my Pistons at the moment. Plus, OKC's colors are badass, I didn't like them at first but they slowly grew on me. And those creamsicle shoes were pretty sweet as well.

That's something I don't really fault Seattle fans for, that arena was such a dump I don't even think homeless people found it worthwhile to dig through their trash cans.

Actually, I've been to Key Arena (not for a basketball game though). It's a very nice facility in the Seattle Center complex next to the Space Needle. It's small by NBA standards and thus doesn't have the floor space for all of the bullshit that Stern and the owners want nowadays, like a restaurant or a bar. The ironic thing is that they renovated it in 1996 with an emphasis on making it a great place to watch a basketball game. The seating capacity is 17,000 but the seats are very close to the floor, so you have great sight lines for watching and it gets very loud in there.

Stern and Schultz wanted to expand the seating capacity and put in all of the ancillary crap that NBA arenas have now, but there isn't really room to expand it. If the powers that be in Seattle ever build another arena, it won't be at the Seattle Center.

Seattle wasn't even selling out consistently for years. OKC at least has got them beat there...even though it's because there's absolutely nothing else to do in OKC. Still.

The did pretty well attendance-wise considering the Sonics were terrible the last 8-10 years of the franchise's existence. They had higher attendance in the final lame duck year of 2008 when everybody knew they were out the door than the Bucks and Bobcats did this season putting out a playoff-caliber quality product for their fans.
