what r your top 10 games of all time?

here's my official list:

1. Zelda: Ocarina of Time ... story, characters, places, and music are all great.
2. Metal Gear Solid for PS1 ... first game i ever played that had stealth ... had a great story and gameplay.
3. Mario 64 ... grounbreaking graphics for its time. set the bar really really high for platformers that followed
4. Goldeneye 64 ... single player was great ... multiplayer is what made this game imo. first game wher eu could get together with four people and play that i know of.
5. Call of Duty: World at War for 360 ... after KOTOR 1, i took a long hiatus from video games ... this got me back to playing consistently. i still play this game.
6. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for PS2 ... game just succeeds on so many levels.
7. Roller Coaster Tycoon for PC ... i love games that allow you to be creative
8. Rogue Spear for PC ... best tactical FPS i've played. it was extremely hard to beat
9. KOTOR 1 for X-Box great story, good for replayability
10. Mafia for PC ... like GTA but in the 50's... compelling story. cant wait for the new one.

Honorable mentions (in no particular order):
Tomb Rader 1 (PS1)
Resident Evil 1 and 2 (PS1)
Sonic (Dreamcast)
Mass Effect 1 (360)

it's a damn shame that this game hasn't been made for a current generation console. it would be an incredible online game.

I honestly don't know if I can narrow it down to 10 favorites, once I beat a single-player game I RARELY ever play it again, even if I loved it to death, so I'll list the ones I've spent most time on then the ones that I played and instantly loved

Counter-strike 1.6
Starcraft
Diablo II
Civilization Revolution
Total War Series
Unreal Tournament - PC

Star Wars: KOTOR
Metal Gear Solid - PS1
Final Fantasy X (not sure why there's such a big love/hate for this game)
Mass Effect
Bioshock
Civilization II - PS1
Mario Kart 64
Goldeneye
Super Smash Bros 64
COD Modern Warfare - PC
NBA Street - PS2
Legend of Legaia - ps2? or ps1
NFL Quarterback Club - SNES

I was shocked on an NBA forum no one had NBA Jam.. I was about to put it.

Damn.. Also need to fit Wind Waker in there..

Change my list to

- Wolfenstein 3D
- Uncharted 2
- Open Ice Hockey (arcarde)
- Mortal Kombat 2
- Mass Effect 2
- Resident Evil Code Veronica
- Halo
- Wind Waker
- Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay
- Silent Hill 2

Oddly enought that list is pretty much 100% on the games that I have ever sat down and beat.. I think the only ones not listed on there that I have beat are World and War, Halo 3, Call of Duty 2, and the other Riddick game that came out a bit ago.

I think OOT could be done in a night. Figure 30 minutes a piece for the Deku Tree, Dodongo Cavern, Jabu Jabu, young Link Spirit Temple, Gerudo Valley and Ice Cavern. That's about 3 hours. Maybe 45 minutes a piece for the Forest, Fire and Shadow Temples. That's another 2:15, brings us to 5:15. Three hours for the Water and adult Spirit Temple and Ganon's Castle is 8:15. Two more hours for travels and various shit like the Royal Family Tomb- 10:15. I'm sure people have done it in less.

yeah i started at 8:00 pm and ended at 10:45 am. took me a six pack of Mountain Dew and some lucky guesses in the Water Temple. i didnt play any of the mini games or gathered heart pieces/bottles/skulltulas. it was my fifth time (i think) beating it so i zipped through everything. give it a shot, its pretty fucking epic to do so, and any oot fan should try it. i wouldve done it faster, but i got delirious and found myself running around aimlessly in circles in ganons castle for about 30 minutes :lol.

November 23, 1998 I believe was Thanksgiving Day. It was also the day OOT was released.

I stayed home and played OOT until I beat it at ~6:00am on the 24th. Instead of eating turkey and stuffing, I consumed Mountain Dew and Slim Jim's.

I wouldnt trade that day for the world. What a f-ing game, especially for its time.

Red Dead Redemption (I'm a sucker for anything Western...)
God of War (1-3 are awesome)

No order, and off the top of my head.

Xenogears - Did for me what FF7 did for most RPG fans. Absolutely blew me away despite the non-linear monstrosity that was Disc 2.

Chrono Trigger - Was my Xenogears before Xenogears. The standard by which JRPGs have long since been measured, and rightly so.

Final Fantasy VI - To this day remains my favorite in the series. The villain winning, a great cast, and, of course, the Crowning Music Of Awesome known simply as Dancing Mad.

KOTOR - Contains what is probably my favorite plot twist/reveal in all of video gaming.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Fed vs Zeon/Gundam vs Zeta Gundam - The first had the near-infinite replayability of the Campaign mode (Gelgoogs at Odessa? No problem!), while the second had countless what-if storylines (Char joins the Titans).

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection - For packing everything I loved about my first console into one disc. Shining Force 1 and 2, Phantasy Star I-IV, and Vectorman alone made it worth the purchase.

The Silver Surfer - For taking everything I thought I knew about difficulty, shattering my delusions, and rebuilding them in its own image.

MegaMan Battle Network 3 - For providing me with something to do while stuck in a hotel in Tennessee, and for being the greatest source of inspiration for my Battle Network fanfic project.

Final Fantasy Tactics - For giving Xenogears a run for its money in the Xanatos Gambit and Thirty Xanatos Pileup categories, while teaching me what it was to truly grind.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 - There are few things more satisfying in this world then co-op'ing this game with a fellow Gundam fanatic. One of those is a combo attack between Domon and Master Asia, and both players reciting, in unison, "Look! The East is burning red!"

Cry Havoc
