for the most part, draq routes will get open against everything, actually. they can be deadly as hell if you set up good route combos with them. like in a set where you have a TE on each side, to have one of them run an In route, and the other run a drag, this will get one of them (usually the drag) wide open for nice gains against pretty much any zone coverage. the only one that will stop it is a QB spy, and that only works for the middle, but once he gets past the spy, he will be open.

i hate that defense. i wish there was a way to like register the screen names of any faggots who do that shit and have it handy when you're in lobbies or doing head to head so you can avoid those faggots who can't play real d. tho if hes 41-0 hes prob not bad at offense either.
ps 46 defense engage 8 puts peterson/johnson on clamps
tbh his offense was shit...he only ran...and if he had regular defense, I would have won...pissed me off.

tbh manning gettin a pass between 2 defenders in the end zone is about as crazy as its gonna get with the colts. esp cuz on my clutch fake fg tds from midfield it rarely shows the snap and just the guy running on the highlight so its less awesome. it also dont let you highlight onside kick plays. i've pulled off like 30 of those. played this one guy who picked the pats yesterday and i onsided to start the game and got it and then he quit immediately. free wins imo.

imo i had this swole 95 yard td run out of wildcat with donald brown that came right after i got the dude to turn it over on downs on 4th and goal at the 5. didn't save it cuz it looked the same as any beastly long wildcat run.

on the bright side im happy that i dee'd him up enough to keep him from getting that "win by 59" trophy.

Yeah I forgot about that one. That was 06. The Titans were like the cheesiest team with that one, they had a bunch of big receivers who were scrubs in real life. I was playing NCAA mostly that year though.

Holy shit that was a gay game. I was up 7-0 in the first quarter then everything went downhill. Ive played like 2 head to head games and found out in the fourth quarter if you run press man with one blitzing its chode bloading defense. I tried to run shit you run from 10 in 11 and it didnt work. He scored like 50 straight points because he was pressing and blitzing and when I realized that in the fourth quarter it actually became a game.
Jermaine is pretty nasty at that game. He uses gay Mcnabb and scrambles.
But any of you fags want to see me and Dirk4mvp in 3s, thats cromination automatically.

I'm up two touchdowns, with the ball in the redzone, just tryin to pad the stats. I'm looking at a slant to Jason Witten, and throw an interception. The guy was about to be nailed, but he wanted to try to run it back, so he tried to pitch it back....I'll let the video take it from there...

if you're having trouble stopping people doing the linebacker nano blitzes that get to your qb super quick, i've found that using a hb draw out of shotgun then audibling to "quick pass" then sending your slot wr and tight end on drag routes usually results in a free 20 yard gain if he sends a lot of people blitzing or at least a first down if he's only blitzing the nano player. but you have to do it out of shotgun cuz that gives you five receivers counting the rb. that'll make them have to play you in nickel or dime and they can only beat the double drags by making their lbs spy you and in nickel they only have two lbs anyway so unless they want to keep getting burned by the drag they'll have to pull that blitzer back away from the line and play you straight up. is it cheap to keep running the same play on someone for a drive or longer? maybe, but not if they're playing cheater d imo.

lol i just pwned this guy 63-35 and he messages me after the game telling me im the biggest bitch hes ever played. i think this is on account of my new policy that i'm not going to run trick plays unless you do it first, then im going to do it better than you and for touchdowns. he started goin for 2 and onsiding so i did it back and actually got the ball back when he never could. told him to hit up practice mode and stop crying about me breaking his winstreak.
Got the game and ps3 on Sunday, and played 4 games since. Went 3-1.
I think the game is alright except the defense is absolutely awful. This game reminds me more of the old school 2K games where you can just randomly sling the ball around and come up with touchdowns. Playing on ps2, you could never make a mistake playing on hardcore. The defensive AI was so good that you would have to make a perfect pass to thread the needle. This game is completely the opposite.
Still, pretty fun except the games are too long.

spread offense with the colts is unbeatable. my gameplan has been running a hb draw out of shotgun and keeping a few spread pass plays in my audible deck in case i want to pass so the formation doesn't change. i audible a shit ton when i'm going to run anyway so it works out. mix in all that shit in with no huddle and you can't be beat. i just had a 600 yard 8 TD game with manning. and addai had over 20 touches so its not like i was spamming the pass. the guys coverage sucked though 5 of those tds were 50 yards or longer.
also my friend came over the other day and i dont have two controllers so we just took turns playing a series of offense and defense each and then passing the sticks. all i have to say is playing madden with a spotter is fun as hell, you just watch for qb pressures and wait till he tells u which button receiver is open. cheese. cake. factory.
i was like .8 off of a perfect passer rating for that game too, shit pissed me off

yah i play pretty much all day because im jobless right now but im already in my second season and play 15 minute quarter but I play the acceleration clock thing so normall games are no more than a 45 minutes really but I haven't played at all online this year last year I was like 14-14 because I liked the redskins playbook this year I just run whatever the coordinator tells me too :lol

man i am trying to win a game with every team and went ahead and got playing with dallas and houston out of the way first. almost lost with dallas but felix jones bailed me out with a kr td late in the game that gave me a 2 td lead and some breathing room.
broke off a 93 yarder with arian foster then went into spread offense rape mode. was up 35-7 the dude kept pausing and wasting my time so i called some vanilla defenses and by vanilla i mean if you couldnt get a 1 play td off of that shit then it might be time to turn in your dick. gave him the ball back down by 7 and :31 left on the clock and sho nuff mother fucker gets off a 60 yard pass. no huddles, clocks it with :01 left and im like well shit we goin to overtime only i tackled his ass on the 1 yard line with no time left. shit was swole.

im glad you enjoy keeping up with my madden tales tbh. while we're on the subject i just played this home boy. went back to indy for this game, he was ravens. we traded tds almost the whole game and he had a little bit of a cushion cuz he got a long fg before the half and had a 2 point conversion so he was up by 4. then he stopped me on a 4th and 7 and got another td so he was up by 11 early in the 4th. joe addai broke off a beastly gain on a checkdown pass and then my nigga austin collie had a wide open td on the next play. at this point theres 4 minutes left and i was like man i cant let this guy score again so i went with the onside. ball went straight to his dude but bounced off his hands and my guys recovered. made him burn all his timeout and scored with 51 seconds left. after the kickoff he had 45 seconds to work with. 1st play was a sack, second was a 8 yard pass... on 3rd and 2 with like 25 seconds left, homeboy hits boldin on the sideline and gets all the way to the 3 yard line when THAT nigga kelvin hayden pull him down from behind. homey no huddles but runs out of time right before he can snap the ball. winner winner chicken dinner. 43-39 jt tbh.

Defense on this game is really what separates the men from the boys. Do you usually control the MLB? Or a DB? DL? Let me know what you think your strength is and I'll give you as much help as I can but I don't want you to suck my dick. You can send me 20 bucks though.
For teams like the Colts that have a lot of good receivers and you know the people playing are going to pass a lot, you're gonna want to run almost exclusively man coverage with a healthy dose of QB spy on one or two players. There are a lot of good pass defense plays in the Jets D nickel sub package playbook.
I play 95% of my games as the Colts which means I usually only play against Baltimore, New Orleans, Dallas or Minnesota. Picking another team with against the Colts is a guaranteed loss on this game. This guy came really close to beating me with the Raiders but I found out in the 4th that he had switched Asomugha over to Austin Collie and my play wasn't working, so I just shuffled my WR depth chart and started hitting Wayne on all of Collie's routes on those plays, boom roasted. But on D most of the game I try to get to the QB with Freeney. Usually let Brackett sit back there in a spy and have everyone else playing man with the safeties in deep zones sometimes.
The way most people get yards on me is with the HB screen pass but I've gotten better at shutting that down by having 2 DBs cover the flats on the side he's throwing the screen too. But if you want some more tips tell me what kind of plays you are getting beat on and I'll give you some tips to stop those. I'm not like 150-10 or anything but I'm 30 games over .500 and I play all day so I'm good when I need to be. Most of my games have probably been won by stopping someone from scoring rather than having the ball last but some people are so good at this game you just gotta outscore em.

I use to be the cheeser that would run 1 defensive play all game and completely overwhelm people on 10. This game won't let you get away with that. Figure out what your opponent is doing, usually he has 2-3 bread and butter plays, recognize the formation and what he's doing and exclusively shut that down than go from there.
Just don't run the same defense over and over, lol I just played some scrub who ran the same cover 1 zone out of the 46 defense so all I did was streak 2 down the field and ended up with like 700 passing yards. Like JT said tho, some people are just too good and you have to get the ball last to win. I just throw everything at them and if I can't stop them, I just tip the cap. Don't get too frustrated

at first I wasn't big on madden 11, because it seemed impossible to stop anyone now, but now I love it. man defense is actually useful now, and having good corners will now actually reward you. especially since you can now get pressure with a 4 man line if you have good rushers, which never used to happen.

Well at one point I was 11 and 19 so I've actually kicked ass for awhile. I went 0-6 to start off then I played .500 for awhile and as of late I've been murdering people.
90 wins! Motherfucker kept punting on 4th, which I can understand doing if you're also good at defense but on the reals, if you're down 21-0 and the other guy just scored on a one play bomb pass, you're dumb as shit for punting ever again in that game unless you have 4th and 35 or some shit. 56-7 final score and on the truth I was this close to user picking his td pass.

I play pretty much just with Indy but sometimes I'll mix in Atlanta, Green Bay, Chicago, Miami or SF if someone insists on playing with a lesser team or if I get tired of playing the fucking Saints 9 times in a row. Of my 64 losses I'd say 30 of them are to the Saints. Really hard team to stop on Madden 11. Manny if you want to pad your wins, spread offense with Colts is hard as fuck to shut down.

I really think defense is not as hard as what everyone makes it out to be, especially when you play someone like that, who runs the same shit over and over. If you know what's coming and still can't user pick it, well then you just suck I guess.
If it's 3rd/4th and long it's pretty much a guarantee that they're looking for that deep post right over the middle with their TE or slot receiver. 90% of players run that play, including me, cause they're open everytime. And half the time they'll see my guy sitting right there and throw it anyway cause the outside's always locked down with Jenkins and Newman

No BS, I can seriously help you out on D though. I'm about 48-18 and I play the best people out there. I used to suck horribly on D and now it's actually my strength. My primary D is 3-4 with the Nickel 245. Let me know what you run.
Another underrated tip I found more funny than that helpful is if your at home, make your team all white (pants, helmets, unis, etc.) Road teams usually wear white so it can actually cause confusion when he's passing the ball believe it or not.
I actually got some jiggaboo from Georgia pretty butthurt when I hopped on the sticks the other day. He was the Raiders and I was the Boys and I did that trick above.
