Minor leaguer Utah that destroyed Alabama a year before they won the NC? Yeah, as a fan of Texas Tech, you should know what mediocrity is sans Mike Leach.

looks like only 3 Pac 10 vs. Big 12 games this year when you disregard Colorado, Nebraska, and Utah...

Washington St at Oklahoma St
UCLA at Texas
UCLA at Kansas State
Colorado at Cal
Utah at Iowa State
Nebraska at Washington

disappointing, I like to watch games between the better teams of these conferences.

yes, that minor leaguer Utah

Yeah, as a fan of Texas Tech, you should know what mediocrity is sans Mike Leach.

pretty much the same mediocrity that USC had for about 20 years sans Pete Carroll.

Not quite. You see, the Trojans still managed to win the 1985, 1990, and1996 Rose Bowls while reaching the big game 5 times. On top of that, 20 AP Top-20 rankings within the Tollner, Smith, and Robinson part deux era. While there wasn't a NC during that time, the Trojans were ranked no. 1 on a number of occasions. It was also not enough for us Trojan loyalists because there wasn't one NC won. They also lost 8 in a row to UCLA and 13 to ND with the only horrid period was 1996-2001 right before Pete Caroll took over.

so like I said, about the same level of mediocrity.

Well then, if you're going by that logic Texas Tech is forever mediocre. The Trojans are beyond that because they can lay claim to multiple NCs. There is success beyond winning NC, its that the Red Raiders have very little of both (and in some cases; none).

But, the new Pac-10 logo is 100x better than the old one and may be the best logo in all of college sports. lol.

could be.

Does it help you feel better about USC's pre-Carroll mediocrity to talk about Texas Tech?

Not really. But I must respect your authority on mediocrity since you follow a team that is steeped in it.

TT should consider paying their players thousands of dollars. Maybe they could buy some championships?

:tu

luckily for us the future looks a bit brighter with Tubbs than with Leach.

Nah.

TT doesn't have thousands to pay off players and wouldn't survive USC level sanctions if they get caught.

....and even if they did try it, a few thousand wouldn't be enough to lure the 5 star pro potential players away from OU and UT

the schools aren't paying their players.

Well, you could try that or stop locking your players in closets or...maybe move to a more desirable location than Lubbock, TX?
