Right now it's egos and feelings arguing Bosh > Amare.

No one using any kind of logic would argue that Bosh is a better player than Amare.

No one is arguing that any more. What I have been arguing (which is painfully obvious unless you are purposefully ignoring the posts) is that the logic was sound in arguing the players were close.

This year, at this point in time, that has changed.

Look I realize watching Manu rape B-list competition gets you guys all hot and bothered but if I were to make trade a 22 yr old for a 33 yr old player at this point it would take a couple of reasons.

1. The 33 year old player would have to be one of the elite players in the league

2. He can't have a history of injury problems

3. The Mavs would have to suck

None of those is true. I will say this however, if this were last season and we were completely sucking at the trade deadline (pre-Caron trade) I would do this in a heartbeat. As it stands, we're on an 11 game win streak and one of the best teams in the West, so this makes a knee jerk trade like this all the more retarded.

And the fact that I'm arguing with a dumbass who thought "Bosh>>>>>Amare" pretty much means that I'm right anyway

Fair enough

changing lanes once again. You said you'd wait till the end of the season, now with mounting support against you, you admit that at this point in time it's clear Amare > Bosh.

let us proceed...

Keywords "at this point and time", which is what DPG has also been saying.

Yeah, and I'm saying that if you're still refusing to acknowledge Amare > Bosh not only at this point in time but as an overall basketball player, you're retarded. Slowly but surely the Bosh Krew is giving up ground and getting closer and closer to agreeing with it.

Not gonna lie, the way things have played out this season between the two has me inching towards the dark side.

Then again that statement that "Bosh>>>>>Amare" is sufficient evidence to indicate the shortcoming's of one's brain, no further proof is needed.

Then again, the fact slight retards choose to not post with full retards of their own kind is sufficient evidence to indicate the full retardation of the fan base in general.

And I'd love to see how many games featuring Chris Bosh you guys have actually seen. Toronto was rarely featured on the US national broadcasting schedule, whereas you'd get Suns games all the time. I've been watching Bosh for almost 7 years. And as a Spurs fan, I've seen my fair share of Suns games. I think Amare is a solid player, but I Bosh edges him out. He's a better all around player.
It's funny because Bosh never being on national TV had a significantly positive effect on how he was viewed as a player.

I guess we'll see how good Amare really is now he's without Nash
:tu great take Spurfan

You brought some really really weak takes in this thread.
:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao

Now you laugh at people saying Bosh is better than Amare?
I do actually.

My favorite is his "Canadian dipshits" comment. And yet he brings weak take after weak take. The poster is a decent guy, but I think he needs to take the homer glasses off.

:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao:lmao, that must be it Raza.

DPG at least admitted saying Bosh is worth the max and Amare isn't was wrong, Amuseddickgrabber still will only say "Amare is just better right now :cry" and still thinks I was the one who brought "weak takes" in this thread.

Man, this thread is annoying.

It's easy to say Amare is a better player now, when he's the #1 option on a playoff team, and Bosh is a third wheel on another. But Amare has been a better player than Bosh from Day Fucking One and only now are people coming to his defense. I guess he needed to get out of Nash's shadow to really prove himself.

Kyle Orton
03-09-2011, 06:04 PM
Yeah without Nash people are seeing how lethal of an iso scorer Amare has become recently. I'm not a fan of how much he faces up in isos rather than posts up, but it's hard to argue with the results. It's a shame the Suns are built such that unless your name is Steve Nash, you'll be undervalued and discounted as a player in Phoenix.

Oddly, I think the best thing that happened to Amare was getting his knees fucked up. It forced him to learn how to develop his game to include skills not based on his athletic ability, such as improved footwork, and most importantly that mid-range jumper that has become so deadly, which has been extending to nearly 3pt depth.

Kyle Orton

It really didn't, from 2007-2009, he was still a very unpolished guy who was just less athletic. Maturity is what made him develop his skills, it would have eventually happened with or without the surgery. 2007-2009 Amare was = to or < Bosh, even when his numbers were mediocre at the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, he was a much improved player who was creating most of his shots for himself and stepping up on defense. People wonder why my opinion of Amare flipped so much from 2009 to 2010, it's because even tho the numbers might be similar, 2010 Amare was playing hard while 2009 Amare quit just as much as the rest of the team.

If by quit, you mean missed the 2nd half of the season due to injury, then yeah, I agree with that.

Amare has always had the drive to become a better player. He came into the league as a dunk machine, a guy who would power through, past, or over opponents to get the ball into the rim. I think you're both right--the knee surgeries forced Amare to develop a new style of offense, and his maturity over the years has helped to define that style. He's gone from being just a scorer to an on-court leader. If you watched the post-game videos from last year's playoffs, Amare was a very vocal locker room presence. It really seemed like Amare was well-liked and well-respected by the whole Suns locker room.

Kyle Orton

He was just as much of a part of the quitting mutiny against Porter as Grant Hill and Steve Nash were (I still however give them more blame since they were supposed to be the respectable veterans on the team), and his defense was at like an all time worse in 2009. I wasn't referring to the eye injury, I was referring to the fact he was a detrimental presence on the court for a large part of the 09 season, but the next season he was a great leader from day 1.

The only thing I consider Amare developing specifically because of his surgery was the jumper. IMO, he improved iso game, improved passing, improved offensive rebounding etc. all came with maturity and discipline.

I kinda miss 05 Amare though, that man was a beast.

He knew fuck all about defense, rotation, boxing out, passing out of double teams etc etc but man was he something in terms of natural ability. Amazing athleticism, agility, body control, great hands where he could catch everything thrown him, get fouled and yet find a way to still put the ball in the basket. He gave Mavs and Spurs fans a lot of sleepless nights. I for one am not displeased at all that he is in the East now. Bosh has never come even close to doing anything similar to that.
