I hear it was decent.. still waiting for 360 to get the demo.. Not sure how to get it without preordering... but really all you have to do is put 10 bucks down, get the key, and then go back in the next day and cancel the preorder then you got it for free.

Biggest complaint I heard about the demo is that the controls are still BFBC2 clunky.

I have a friend whos playing it... he says it's a better version of MW2... but basically almost the same. He did say that everyone kept complaining as they played...

I still think BC2 is better... not a fan of MW2

Hopefully it's better than the last few turds they released.

I’m in it, Best Buy was giving out free keys a little while back.

The game feels like a pre beta version of MW2. The animations are choppy the guns have no kick to them. You turn a corner and see a guy you will probably die before you see him fire his gun. If you think the grenade launcher is overpowered in MW2 well its underpowered in MoH, you have to basically hit the guy with the grenade to kill him.
I know it’s still in beta, but beta is where you squash bugs and get a sample of the gameplay. IMO it could really use another 6 months in the oven then have another beta because right now it does not run very well. MW2 feels like a well-oiled machine compared to MoH.

Now I never like to be all negative about a game in beta so there was a few interesting things. The objective mission is a neat idea, where the Americans are trying to take a position while the terrorist hold them off. The upgrade system is simple, it’s not great but it works. Shooting down trees is always fun.

MoH: AA is one of my top 10 greatest games of all time so I really had high hopes for this game. At the least I wished it was going to be an alternative to MW2, but sadly in this state it is not. Maybe the single player will make it worth a purchase.

Does it pretty much feel like a BFBC2 add on?

i dont like Battle Field. tried it after playing WaW and i felt the gameplay was clunky. and the maps are just too damn big for me. i like nice sized maps but i don't like getting sniped by some dude 100 miles away. it's a much more methodical game i guess you can say and i prefer run-n-gun oriented gameplay.

Battlefield has the better overall gameplay as far as online goes....

there's just so much more to it than just deathmatch... although I will admit that it does piss me off a lot... infact the only reason i stop playing is just because of that..... it gets me so mad I have to rage quit.

Some of the guys are just too good... but as you get better and better you die less and enjoy the game more.

Play it often enough and you'll know where the snipers are...

Not really, it's a BFBC MW2 hybrid that doesn't play very well.

Now it might be worth getting the game for the single player, but I won't be buying it for the online. BF and MW2 are better choices for online, hell Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a better choice.

Just to make sure I’m not being too hard on it I will play some more tonight and see how it goes.

this game SUCKS!

i have the beta on my steam account. uninstalled it after 5 minutes of playing around with it.

it looks like CoD MW, with bigger maps, but nowhere near as polished as either CoD or BFBC2.

garbage. pass it up fellas. you'll thank me.

Well it is in Beta so for anyone to expect a polished game at this point is a bit ridiculous. Betas usually have watered down textures and tons of bugs never usually indicative of the final release.

It's not anymore buggy then any other beta I been in and the graphics are average. but basic gameplay is done before Beta and thats where it's the weakest.

Medal of Honor Open Beta is free right now from 10/4 - 10/8.

I got it through Steam.

...and I would totally agree. BFBC2 is still the standard. Something just feels...off with MoH.

Just dl'd the BETA and I keep getting killed. I'm so fucking bad at these types a' games (Halo, CoD, etc). And w/ everybody else being so goddamn good, I never get a chance to really hone my "skills" (if there are, or could be, any there to speak of). :lol

Fuckin' FPSs...

Sorry, man. MoH games are really short (most I played were less than 7 minutes long) and it took me about 5-8 games to get my shit together and figure out the map.

Have you played any other FPSs?

If not, here is a tip (no essay). If youre playing Sector Control (or wtf its called), let your team cap the nearest Sector, you move to a spot along the big walls (on your side, though) that surround the middle Sector and camp there. You'll get a quick hang of the controls and movements/patterns of the other team, score big kill counts and otherwise help the team. Duck a lot. Default controls toggle croush/uncrouched, thats kind of nice. Aim at the chest and burst fire, the climb of your weapon will get a headshot 50% of the time. Just dont get pissed when the good/great players are nailing headshots without the need for the climb.

I really wish that they would put a review of this game out soon. This is the one game this season that I'm on the fence with.

I mean I already have Reach that I need to finish and play online.. Dead Rising 2 I have to finish.. NBA 2k11 I can't seem to put down.. and then the week after this game comes out New Vegas comes out.. then two weeks later Black Ops.

It looks good but I'm just not sure...

Oh and then Fable 3 is coming out.. So if there is one game I am going to cut this year it is Medal of Honor (well I cut Mafia 2 also).. I just need to see some damn review to pull my reserve.
