I had to ask. There has already been one for scoring and rebounding.

Add a poll? Anyway, Tony leads the team in assists, like always.

If Tony starts, he will because he controls most of the possessions. If Hill starts, then Ginoboli will lead the Spurs in assists (he's the better creator of the two).

Parker will be traded, therefore, he would not lead the Spurs in assists this season.

It's gonna be hard to lead the team in assists from the post . . .

I say Tim's positioning at the 3-point line really utilizes his high post passing and probably has him lead the team in assists. But don't be surprised if Tony doesn't take the rebounding title -- he's gonna out-quick the Bigs playing in the post.

I'll say Tony, but RJ will lead the team in passes before assists.

It should be Tony with Manu second. Tony controls most of the possesions and therefore he should be a lock. Manu is a gifted passer - he has a shot if Tony get's injured.

and :lmao @ Duncan leading the team in assists.

Yeah I get your point. I just think that with the different type players we have Manu might have a very good chance to lead the team in assist. TP was hurt, but he has trouble blending in with non shooters i.e. Blair/RJ and possibly Splitter. Manu on the other hand is at his best when he is setting up Guys who cut and run such as blair, RJ and Splitter. I know it wont be a landslide, but i do think that Manu maybe be able to edge out Tp in the assist category. I really think that TP having a scorers mentality and Manu passing and scoring only when nessecary is better for the both of them. That way TP doesnt have to worry about RJ ( in particular) an Manu doesnt have too expend to much energy trying to put points on the board.

With all the guys on the roster that can play the pick and roll, and with a likely improvement in rebounding, I'm really hopeful that team assists go way up.
