I bought a couple of chicken pot pies the other day for quick microwave lunches on busy days at work. I was just looking at the nutritional label.

570 calories.

OK, not bad. A little more fat than I expected but ehhh OK.

Then I read the fine print.

2 servings to a package.

HUH? Who the hell eats HALF a pot pie?

Well it depends.....if it is one of those tiny Banquet pot pies then 1/2 of one is like 4 bites. But those giant Marie Callender's pot pies are easily 2 meals for me and about a week's worth of sodium too.

I eat healthy everyday & avoid microwave foods…So far today I have had four doughnuts, 2 plates of homemade spaghetti & meatballs, 4 cups of coffee….For lunch I am having ˝ of a water melon…

Putting 1140 Calories per pie on the box would scare some consumers away.

Not that surprising. There is no item on KFC's menu with more fat and calories, including the Double Down, than their pot pie.
