Tara Fitzgerald of Sacramento needed help. The nude photos she had taken for her boyfriend were nowhere to be found on her computer, so she called Dell in December 2008. She was patched through to support tech Riyaz Shaikh, an employee of call service center in India, and gave him permission to search her PC remotely. What happened next was horrifying, said Fitzgerald:

"I watched him take the pictures out of my e-mail. I watched him."

More than a dozen of those pictures ended up on a site called "bitchtara." Shaikh offered his "help" again, allegedly telling Fitzgerald he could work on taking down the site if she sent him a brand new Dell laptop. Fitzgerald agreed:

"And I'm telling myself, my conscience is talking to me saying, 'Tara, don't send this. What are you doing? Are you crazy?' I sent it anyways because I really believed in this guy. I really had faith that he was protecting my dignity."

Both Fitzgerald and reporter George Warren of News10 have contacted Dell about the situation, but the company has yet to respond. To read more about Fitzgerald's story, go to News10 and KGO-TV.

Nothing more American than subcontracting your work out so another company can take all the heat for the shitty wages, work conditions, and subpar customer service your company demands.

Maybe these places will cancel contracts with foreign companies that can ignore US law.

Maybe this did some good, and hopefully Del, has to pay big.

Then again, it can be another false story too.

So, let me get this straight...

She saw this guy accessing her computer through the link... and she didn't think to hit the power switch? Or cut the internet connection off?

Wow.

she called support for help finding the pics and then to get rid of them, not find the pics and post them on the internet

and gave him permission to search her PC remotely.

Youre a dumb girl if you don't realize that if you are going to send or take nude pictures chances are they are going to end up on the net... they better know for sure those things are going around the guys work and friends.. Im guilty of doing both.

Yeah, if you don't want your voyeuristic photos to be public--don't take them in the first place. Eventually, someone will discover them and use them in a spat against your or go free bird and have them posted for all to see. It's just common practice to not allow such things to happen because the internet diaspora can come back to haunt you.

I wouldn't necessarily say no one would say no to those pictures. There is some levels of human depravity out there that makes fat and ugly dude porn softcore by comparison.
