Since more than half the regular NFL posters are boycotting the NBA forum, lets talk NFL. When posting in this thread, talk about what you're excited to see about your team or the NFL in general next year.

I'm excited for a few things. First and foremost I hope we get to see Tom Brady return to old 2007 form. I hope Matt Leinart solidifies himself as a bust so the team can just cut him rather than be stupid enough to extend him thinking he'll still be good, and in the process get a high enough draft pick to get an elite prospect who can immediately step in. Gronk is gonna tear shit up this year, and we hopefully get to see all the talent New England has on D gel better and reach its potential.

In Dallas im gonna be interested to see if Antony Spencer can continue playing at the level he was late last year. He was the Cowboys best defensive player during that timespan. Im also intrested to see if Miles Austin can prove he can put up another elite season and if Romo can continue to improve his game.

Outside of Dallas Im interested to see Kolb in Phili, McNabb in Washington and TO in Cincy.

DoKdynasty

Tbh Mike Jenkins also stepped up hugely for them at the end of last year. If Jenkins and Spencer keep up that level of play Dallas will still have an elite defense.

How Chaz Schillenz does. If DHB progressed. What the starting offensive line will look like. Tyvon Branch was a break out player last season, but does he expand upon that? Bush taking all of D-Mac's snaps. McClain. How a line of Houston, Kelly, Henderson and Seymour get to the passer. The 3-4 hybrid looks we could see. Cambell knowing that he's the man, and not having to worry about anything.

tbh the theme for the 2010 colts season is "nowhere to go but up" and all spurstalk colt fans should follow my lead and make that their user title thing. just do the math. 2009 colts team was jewed in the super bowl by not being able to convert a 3rd and 1 at the end of the first half that led to a saints fg, hank baskett fucking the team in the ass on the onside kick and manning and wayne shaving points cuz they're still saints fans. personally if you ask me i don't believe manning and wayne shaved points and the team only lost because of the mvp curse. i don't think manning will win a 5th mvp this year although he is capable. the 2010 colts offense is stacked to the roof. we got swole on the offensive line, donald brown and addai are set for a breakout year and with anthony gonzalez back, manning could conceivable pull off a 2007 brady type season on offense.

on defense, the colts got some insurance for dwight freeney's annual injury with jerry hughes. singing ex-steeler deshea townsend at cb gives the team some much needed depth at cornerback considering outside of kelvin "sb 41 mvp" hayden, no colts corner had over a year of pro experience. with bob sanders completely healthy for the first time since his dpoy 2007 season, i have no reason to doubt that the colts will be a legitimate defensive force in the nfl in 2010.

basically you just have to do the math. 2009 colts + 2 new swole offensive linemen + jerry huges + deshea townsend + anthony gonzalez + bob sanders = nowhere to go but up.

I'm interested to see how things turn out with Huff and Mike Mitchell. Huff improved a lot last year. I hear this year, they may convert him to CB. He is fantastic in coverage, just not a great tackler, which is something he can get away with a little more at CB. Exceptional athlete.

I've heard some good things about Mitchell showing improvement. Same for DHB.

I do know the Ravens are more threatening to the Patriots than the Colts are. Generally there is a wide gap between a team that goes into another team's stadium and blows them out, not between a team that needed a retarded coaching decision to win a home game.

tbh heres another fun fact for Blake.

Bess had 76 catches on 581 catches for 15th in the league. His snap count was good for #70 in the league. 70 wideouts had more snaps than him yet he hit the top 15. Everyone in front of him in the top 15 had 300-400 more snaps than him

If Bess had about 300-400 more snaps, your looking at around 85-90 catches for him boosting him into the top 5-8.

And overtaking Smith for catches for 1st downs.

http://profootballfocus.com/by_position.php?tab=by_position&season=2009&pos=WR&stype=r&runpass=&teamid=-1&numsnaps=25&numgames=1

fun facts, bro!

so when will Bess be taking the #1 WR spot over Marshall?
