Basketball, I hate watching soccer when in 90 minutes there's 1 shot on the goal and on the end of the game it's 0-0.

Basketball, and it's NOT close. Don't give me the "beautiful game" bullshit either. I love playing soccer, but even I can admit that it's a choppy game with shit chances to score. Hell, hockey and bball are MUCH more fluid and more enjoyable to watch (especially when the refs let players play)

Soccer - Especially national team soccer. It's like civilized warfare. It is loved all over the world, so winning a big game and/or tournament is epic.

I went to Mexico on vacation and some local guy could remember more than half of the Denmark 86' WC team. I am still amazed by it.

This is a basketball site so I doubt it's an unbiased poll.

For coordination, Soccer is much more challenging than basketball. We're used using our hands and looking at something else. We're used to throwing things with our arms, and they are closer to your eyes so the coordination is naturally better in basketball. All your legs are asked to do is run, stop, and jump.

When I was playing soccer, I had to think about where my feet were, where the ball was, and where the defense was, all at the same time. This wasn't even counting effort or even speed. Basketball was much easier.

My preference to watch and to play is basketball, however, Soccer is the tougher sport and if you can play it, you'll think basketball is a breeze. And they make some good basketball players--Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash to name a couple.

Still, Basketball has my heart. Soccer may be a supermodel, but I want my wife.

This.

Also what makes soccer great is that it isnt just about soccer. Clubs and players mean something in soccer that transcend the sport, the fans are 10 times more passionate, it is 100X more team oriented, and there is no jumbotron telling the slaves when to make noise. Much more organic. Shall I go on?
