Do you get online before you even pee in the morning? Is checking your email/facebook the last thing you do before you go to sleep? How has the WWW affected your daily life?

I find that I write less on paper and more on websites like this. I find that I think to the keyboard more than I think to the pen and therefore I prefer to be on a computer. I feel disconnected from the world's news and entertainment without the internet (and I have gone without it). I enjoy reading the world's newspapers and wire services than getting my news from some 10-second sound-byte from some guy in the morning who's trying to cheer me up and be creative (local news).

I check email and am told by people I write to that it is a better form of communication to get things done than it is to make a phone call because they requires the other person to write down the information and remember the piece of paper. The website is at every terminal. Never lose the piece of paper.

My attention span has shortened with each upgrade from dial-up to cable. If a site isn't up in 2-5 seconds I think something is wrong. I enjoy the google search for websites, images, and videos. I don't know what I would do without it.

I rarely download movies. I have never used an ipod. But dreaming of being a writer since I was in middle school, I cannot tell you the countless posts (3,000 on a Pistons site, 800 on a newsite, another 4,000 on a Lakers site, over 3,5000 in here, 800 on a Star Trek.com just to name a few) that have given me an outlet to not only write, but craft and change my style on subjects I enjoy. I get feedback by someone replying. It has become my hobby (and I don't plan to make a career of it). It's so alone when I try to express myself without these boards. It's just me and there's no audience to write to.
