I am not much of a conspiracy nut, but there are too many coincidences surrounding Ellsworth Maine. Then Obama not long ago vacations there...

One world government.

UFO incidents.

Other unconnected curiosities.

Any thoughts?

Alka Seltzer will be good for that tomorrow.

Even Steven Spielberg uses it in his 10 part miniseries "Taken." He ties accounts and fiction together real nice. I wonder if this is a fact, or fiction part.

Plop plop fizz, my friend.

Ellsworth is a quaint, extremely expensive town right by the Acadiana nat'l park. Because it's full of obscenely rich old-money families, there is also a healthy economy of artists there that live off the rich folks' patronage, and serving both groups is a very healthy drug trade. The artists plus the drugs plus the northern lights over the big Acadiana sky might explain the UFO stuff, though I didn't ever hear anything about UFOs when I lived in Blue Hill, ME.

As for why Obama would find himself there: it's beautiful, safe, relatively close to DC, and about 20 degrees cooler than the rest of the country. Rich people have summered in ME since way back, and the Obamas are plenty rich.

Do you present that as evidence of UFOs, or as a source for false positive sightings?

Or as a somber and poetic metaphor for New World Order?

I have no evidence. I brought this up as a question. There are coincidences out there, the same as conspiracy theories, but... What If...

I don't know. I seldom hear the program, but love the possibilities and idiots it exposes.

Modern historians (http://spurstalk.com/wiki/Historian) now believe that Norse (http://spurstalk.com/wiki/Norsemen) and other sailors (http://spurstalk.com/wiki/Sailor) explored the Maine coast before the voyages of Columbus (http://spurstalk.com/wiki/Christopher_Columbus), and may have settled there.

True UFOs don't exist. And 99% of conspiracies don't either.

There is solid evidence that my Viking ancestors did just that.

Then I'd like to know what my friend and I witnessed in the late 70's out in central Oregon. Too perfect to be a weather phenomena, spotlight, etc. Too large to be a satellite, plane, or even blimp. It appeared the size of the moon, and went horizon to horizon in about 3 seconds. Even if it was something man made, or a blimp... It was far away, and could not have traveled that distance that fast.

Was it extraterrestrial? Maybe not, but Mike and I have never been able to think of what else it could be.
