The upcoming September 11 show in Shark Fights has added another big fight to the card. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will return to action to face fellow UFC veteran Houston Alexander in the night's co-main event.

Shark Fights made the announcement about the newly added fight on Wednesday.

A veteran of the UFC, Pride and Affliction, Sokoudjou has been a mainstay of the major MMA circuit since making quite an impact in his Japanese debut in 2007, knocking out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in just :23 seconds.

The Team Quest fighter came back just as strong in his next fight blasting Ricardo Arona with a knockout punch in under 2 minutes. Since that time it's been a series of ups and downs for the "African Assassin" going 5-5 in his last 10 fights.

Hoping to rebuild with similar expectations is Houston Alexander, who comes to the Texas based promotion off a win over David Griffin in his last fight in June.

Alexander made a big impact of his own when he made his UFC debut back in 2007, when still a relatively unknown fighter, he came in and knocked out light heavyweight contender Keith Jardine in impressive fashion. Taking out Alessio Sakara in his next fight as well, Alexander looked like he was on the fast track to contender's status.

The train derailed after that for Alexander as he lost his next four contests in the Octagon before moving on, and now hopes to build back up that reputation as a knockout artist when he fights Sokoudjou in September.

Shark Fights 13 will take place in Amarillo, TX and feature Sokoudjou vs. Alexander as the co-main event, along with fellow light heavyweights Keith Jardine and Trevor Prangley leading the card in the main event.

Sounds like a good card to me. If I lived near there I would go for sure. I bet the price is affordable too.

Negro, please. I am a student of the game. I taught MMA how to be bad ass and hard core. I'm the guy who told Dana White it would be a good idea to buy a failing UFC. I am The Rapture.

None of this, however, changes the fact that Soku isn't fit to fight the hemorrhoids on Anderson Silva's tongue. He fucking sucks. (which is why he's in the D-League, fighting a fellow sucker of cocks)

You know, for being so fucking hard core, you sure suck at picking fights/fighters. But I'm just a n00b, so what would I know, right?

It's so obvious that Desflood has inside information on pre-fight injuries or fixes the fight itself. This season (year) has been crap for everybody else, to borrow a phrase from the NBA forum - IT'S ONLY AUGUST! We should restart the predictions today. :ihit

Also, does anyone realize that Houston Alexander fights with 1 kidney (after donating one to his daughter)? He's a father of six still putting his body on the line for his kids. He also doesn't seem like much of a shit talker. I like Sokou too, this is a tough match to call. :(

With six kids, that guy's broke. He doesn't have a choice other than to fight!

Daley didn't look that great in his win; won by unanimous decision but I think it was a split decision win.
