Jets owner saying he does not expect Revis to play this year.

Could be all just frontin.
Still, could Revis be had?

I'll go Slacker Jackson from the Chargers for Revis.

Wonder if they'd take haynesworth off the skins hands.

Skins and Jets have been very friendly trade partners before...I think they run a 3-4 though...damn.

Agreed. They're holding the wrong guy hostage. Do this with Shaun Alexander or someone else holding out for more than they deserve. Don't try and freeze the best corner around.

Oh no shit really? You'd trade someone who the Chargers don't even have under contract and who is suspended for 3 games for the best corner in the game? How generous of you :lmao

This guy wants what, 17 million a fucking year? Let him sit I say. Sure he is an awesome talent, but lets at least see it two years in a row before we talk contract extension. (Same thing with Chris Johnson, lets see it again.) The Jets have given him fair contract offers and he's acting like Latrell Sprewell, as if they are not giving him enough to even feed his family.

With Rex Ryan's defensive prowess at schemes, they don't need to pay a corner 16-17 million a year. Its not worth handicapping your team like that.

He's by all means a great defensive coach but without a corner like Revis who doesn't need safety help he can't use Jim Leonhard at the line of scrimmage as what basically is their 5th linebacker. They're a team that relies a ton on blitzing defensive backs to create pressure and it's a lot harder to blitz defensive backs without a shut down corner. Their lack of a pass rush at OLB will get exposed more if Revis doesn't play.

This. Not sure why its an issue. Just pay him what asomugha got or a little more.

Then again they could just go out and sign Adalius Thomas since he's a pretty good pass rusher when the team he's on actually uses his to blitz rather than drops him into coverage on every play.

Who said anything about fair? Besides, i was just starting the bidding.

Randy Moss from the Raiders to the Patsys in exchange for a 4th round pick, #110 overall. Yeah that was fair. :rollin

Didn't/don't hear MultiTroll complaining about that.

That's really the point. All for players getting paid, but at what point does it make sense to just take the offer because it's a ridiculous amount of cash, enough to support 50 people for life (if not blown on hookers, blow, strippers and entourage).

Jets owner says he guaranteed 5 million. For that matter if Revis slips on a banana peel and can't play anymore, 5 million would be plenty for those who know how to manage cash. And that's just the guaranteed part. What did the Jets owner offer for the year, 10 million? Just take it.

The oldtime players who earned 300,000 for a career must be shitting themselves.

:lmao yeah, it's not like Randy Moss was coming off the worst season of his career where he had like 550 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns while being a cancer on the worst team in the NFL.

Fuck Revis, I wouldn't even want him on the Chargers

why's he so hellbent on cashing on his great year? oh that's right, because he knows he's not actually that great, he had a lot of luck and played in a great system. he's going to come crashing back down to earth this year, or whenever he plays again.

When you say come crashing back down to Earth, are you referring to the pro bowl corner he was in 2008?

Maybe he'll come back to tell you to inflate the TomDoll, MultiTroll.

People with more NFL intelligence then you (or in other words breathing) :lol know that just because you are crapping out with the Raiders does not erase all you've done and have the potential to do.

Go find another one of your *profiles* to attempt to support yourself, Multi. :rollin

Apparently not since all the Raiders could get for him was a 4th rounder.

If it was such a sure thing he would still be so good, why weren't any teams offering a 3rd rounder?

Pay the man.

It's not even close on the deals both sides want. Something like $1million vs $15million.

BTW, I think hard knocks starts tonight.
