I do not want to be the Pistons from November 17th through December 3rd. Look at this schedule:
@ LA Lakers
Washington (winnable, but I doubt it)
@ Dallas
@ Memphis (winnable, but they will be horrible on the road).
Milwaukee
New York (winnable, but I doubt it)
@ Orlando
Miami
Orlando
The first four games made me laugh. The Pistons will probably be 1-0 to start the season, playing the New Jersey Nets, opening up another building. However, they play the Thunder, the Bulls, and the Celtics following that game. Then it's two winnable games against Golden State and Charlotte, then out-west for four games. Brutal. They'll be lucky to be 2-8 the first 10 games.

I'm happy about that shit too ...... that late road schedule killed the Lakers last season.
Love how this shit sets up

Much more balanced schedule for LA than in years past. They've usually had such a home-heavy schedule to start the season to compensate for the long road trips in February and March around Grammy time. This year it's a pretty symmetrical schedule and will actually be playing catch-up for home games come March for once. I think that will help the team come the home stretch.
I will miss the frequent whining by Spurfan, Rocketfan, and Mavfan about how the NBA gives the Lakers an unfair "schedule boost" with the early home-heavy schedule.

Looking at that schedule it really makes me believe Miami will win 60-70 games, no way they win over 70 games. They got to play Boston, Orlando, Phoenix and Dallas their first month together which will be the time they will be learning how to gel and win more and more games. There should be some close tight games in there that may not work in their favor.

Once again Utah gets hit with a brutal start and a brutal finish. Only 19 B2B sets this year though. Usually that number is around 23-25 range. I guess the nation doesn't want to see the Chicago Jazz return to the ESA. Neither Chicago/Utah game is on national TV.
I think we win 53-55 games again, land in the 3 or 4 seed, and lose in the second round.
I'm excited to see Jefferson turn into the best PF in the league this season.

I won't defend Stern, but as a Jazz fan you do realize that due to the no sunday home games rule (and trying to keep Utah off of sundays period) that Utah will probably always have an "unbalanced" schedule.

Brutal. They'll be lucky to be 2-8 the first 10 games.
sorry I have to disagree with you about Pistons, Nets will beat them this year, Nets lost last year, they'll want to prove people wrong Pistons will start 0-1:toast
Basketballgirl25
08-10-2010, 06:12 PM
good thing about the Nets schedule is they play the Heat 2 times in the first 6 games of the season, so they can possible catch the Heat still getting use to each other and win a game against them and the 3rd time we play them is April close to the end of the season when they might rest players so they don't get hurt so we have two chances of beating them haha

I agree. Staples Center has so many events as it is. A bunch of concerts,Grammy's,a bunch of other award shows and other sports. Clippers need to GTFO out of Staples because no1 wants them there except Donald Sterling. They should re-locate to Honda Center and call themselves the Anaheim Clippers or Orange County Clippers.

Dude is a trip but a real fan. I go to more Clipper games than Laker games just because the atmosphere is a helluva lot better; crowd is more lively and if you took the Clipper crowd and the Laker fans in the 300 level - and they were at every Laker game, that would be a great home court advantage .... make it even better

QFT. I've actually had more money to spend at a Clippers' game than when I attend Laker home games. Thus, the libations are flowing more freely when you got money to spend instead of being pissed off for paying $100+ for nosebleed seats.

Of course I know about the Sunday games. That's why I'm a little surprised we only have 19 B2B sets. Actually this schedule is more balanced in Utah's favor than any I can remember. The first 10 are tough, the last 7 are brutal. The rest of the schedule is very fair. Our pre christmas road trip is only 4 games this year and against easy teams. We usually have a 5-7 game trip before christmas. We have a stretch of about 40 days where we only have 2 road games.
And I laugh at anyone who thinks Duncan will be better than Jefferson this year. Jefferson will have better numbers than any PF in the west. That includes Dirk and Pau.
