If he actually means it and lives up to his potential this season, the Patriots will actually be superbowl contenders, but I'm not counting on it. I've always been more forgiving of this guy than most but the reoccurring theme of a "Laurence Maroney shows up to training camp tougher" headline is starting to get old. If Maroney actually thinks he ran tough last season and duplicating that will be a success, then the Patriots are in trouble.
