^ with malik.

We have to live with him being gone. I don't like it but I have to come to accept it. He needed the chance in Europe to prove something.

Hey George, recently DeJuan Blair told campers he wants to stay with the Spurs his entire career. Do you think you would also like to be a Spurs player your entire career?

GH : Me and DeJuan talk about that all the time. Actually me, DeJuan and Malik (Hairston) were talking about that. What we want to do is work very hard and eventually be the TD, TP and Manu type of thing. I look to see myself here for the rest of my career. I love it here, I love the city, it's a great first class organization and we have a great first class coach in Coach Pop who is like a father figure to us. I'll stay here my entire career if the opportunity is there.

George Hill is my third favorite Spur behind Tim and Manu. I would not be happy if he ever got traded.

the mailbag is a quick and easy read, if you want to attempt it...

The guy has a good head on his shoulders. Its too bad there aren't more young players like him..There too many young players who are out for themselves. George clearly loves giving back to the coomunity. If he can get that 3 point range extended and work on that floater, this guy is only going to get better. I believe in the NBA you need to have the mentality to take on the toughest players in the league. It only makes you better. I mean Kobe was on the bench early in his career and we all saw his game against the Jazz..But perserverance pays off and work ethic it was make you become a better player. Its good to know George wants to get better. Even if the Spurs dont win a championship, I feel alot better knowing we have a first class organization who does things the right way. we have one of the smalles markets in the NBA and still are recognized as first class because of players like TIM, Manu, and George.

I recently saw him at my job at North Star, he was looking for stink bombs (dont really know why though haha)
anyways he's a really down to earth guy, and didnt mind taking a few pictures with some customers as he was there. From David to Timmy and now George Hill, The spurs always seem to pick Good character guys that seem to break the stereotype that nice guys finish last.

I really loved the part about him and Blair having ongoing discussions on being the next duo (or trio - if Malik comes back or if Alonzo Gee steps up) to carry the Spurs into the future. Love the dedication, desire and foresight.

Wow, George is a great guy and I wouldn't have any doubts that he'll be successful in whatever he does in his life. It's amazing to think that he has improved by leaps and bounds only after two years in the NBA. I dunno, but that trio of Splitter, Hill, and Blair surely looks very promising even after TD and Manu retire.

Spurs keep finding not only great players, but great people as well. Proud that GHill is wearing the Silver and Black--gotta get me a no. 3 jersey now lol.
