It's not never before seen. Lefty saw it one time 14 years ago on a German tv show.

it should be fairly important to big Star Wars fans, since constructing a lightsaber is supposed to be part of a big test to prove if someone is a Jedi or not

Man that Jedi movie is the fucking worst. The original ideas spawed by the producer made more sense....oh well Ewoks are cute.

People seriously applauded for that? All he did was turn a wrench...

Dialogue we've heard from Vader before, he turns a wrench, and there's nothing dramatic about the entire scene. People--it's just a movie. You act like you've been standing in a desert thirsting for any drop of water you can get. The guy has six movies and they built a culture around it. This is classic "Star Wars" acting and directing. If I saw that, I would be disappointed.

A gathering of like-minded uber-fans together to celebrate a shared love. People do stupid things in big groups.
