Interesting stuff. Wind generation in Texas is becoming a bigger and bigger player. Mildly surprised that Texas ranks so low in solar though.

Wind is the "new oil" in West Texas. Royalty payouts are quite lucrative as are the taxes that flow to local districts...almost like it was when we were setting 50 rigs/week.

Like the MuthaFrackers got their secret crap exempted from EPA clean water rules, coal got toxic coal ash exempted from being a toxic material.

iow, US is totally carbon-based energy, and very probably will be for decades, esp since the resource-extraction corps completely disenfranchise citizens by corrupting govt at all levels.
