You can't be serious Luva, that 80's laker team lost Dantly & Hudson (who btw was a scrub), but gained Magic, Chones & Haywood. And Michael Cooper had a great sophomore season.

Adding Magic to that 1980 Laker team is like adding Duncan to the 1997-1998 Spurs team.

What Boston did in 2008 was much more impressive than what the Lakers did in 1980, 2008 and 2009.

Lebron got tossed and blamed his teammates and jumped ship and promised 7-8 championships. Some people take diversity and get to work. Others talk.

I disagree. What Boston did is going to be the new trend of the league. Every year you'll see players getting together hoping to win a ring before they retire. What the Lakers did was incredible. You start off by getting the first pick in the draft by a coin flip. Then a 19 year old rookie leads a team to a title without Kareem in the close out game. Never before has a rookie performed at such a level in any sport on a grand stage like that.
