i have read all the other threads talking about Nazr and Rasho and who deserves the starting spot...I find myself liking the Spurs soooo much more with an athletic big man running around rather than Rasho looking helpless except for a couple nice blocks now and then. I say keep nazr starting until/or if we reach Shaq. Opinions?

Duckies,

I still love Malik but I need to go for what's best for my team (No! Not the Knicks) I mean my San Antonio Spurs!

Exactly.
Pop made the right decision, but some people don't agree, such as SPARKY.

It will be interesting to see who starts next year, Rasho or Nazr.

rasho I think will be gone
I think pop finnally gave up on rasho and wanted to bring in someone else

but they may keep both
who knows scola may not be here and horry may retire after he gets another ring this year

Rasho has a much better defensive presence in the paint. I have seen Nazr miss defensive rotations that have led to easy baskets and/or a foul. Hopefully Nazr will pick up on this next year. The biggest problem with Rasho is that he is a major offensive liability---which is why I would like Nazr to start. Rasho would never have given us a 19 pt game in the post-season, and although that may be due to the fact that he only takes like 5 shots a game, we need the extra offense.

Defense: Rasho>Nazr
Offense: Nazr>>>>Rasho, which is the main reason I'd start him over Rasho.

I think Rasho's done too.

No way Pop keeps Rasho at his price for too long. Just like Malik, there's potential and talent, but fact is we can't have bench players being paid like that.

The ONLY reason why we may have Rasho would be because nobody is dumb enough to take on that kind of contract.

Nazr will start next season.

If Nazr can play anything like he did yesterday, he'll start for the remainder of the season.

And hopefully next year.
