If the Mavs can beat the Suns then they won't be the best will they. :lol

Looks like Dallas has found the formula to beat the Suns. The more games a team plays the Suns, the more chance to beat them. So Dallas would be a tougher opponent for us. Oh well, I wanted us Spurs to beat the Suns.

Rather finish the Sonics before I worry about the Mavs or the Suns.

Tough call. I'd pick Dallas for the sole reason that I want revenge for that last regular season game we played against them, in which they embarrassed us with a 30 point loss--and celebrated despite the fact that TD was out.

I want the Spurs to play Phoenix so that they can embarass their idiot owner who was yelling "play your varsity" the last time the Spurs played in Phoenix without Timmy and Manu.

The Suns.

They received the MVP (Nash), COY (D'Antoni), and Executive of the Year (Colangelo) this year.

I'd like to see the Spurs put all of that to rest.

Suns

best matchup: Duncan/Parker vs. Nash/Marion

Manu vs. QRich/Jim Jackson
Pops vs. D' Antoni

plus;

i'd feel better if the Suns beat us than the Mavs.
Suns' fans are more respecful to the Spurs fans in this forum than Mavs fans are.

Do we have homecourt advantage on both? If so, I don't care who we play.

they were seeded #1
Spurs#2

But the Spurs won the series with them during the regular season - doesn't that give the Spurs homecourt advantage?

unfortunatley the answer is NO

"Spurs won the series with them during the regular season"

.... would give the Spurs the tiebreaker, but there is no tie. Due to injuries and Spurs playing down to the their opponents, Suns had better overall record.

The "who won the the series" is a tie-breaker only used if two teams finish with the same record.

The win-loss record determines Home Court advantage.

BUT, I'm not too worried about it. The Spurs will either focus and win one on the road, or they will lose the series. I think a Suns / Spur series will go to 7 games. Nash and Amare are too good to be defended well every night, even by the Spurs.
