that means jack shit ducks

i havent been able to watch a single game but i've read a few woai.com stories....lackadaisical duncan???? sub-par parker????

ginobili seems to still be going awol, but when we face the facts, the spurs are in for nothing but deep shit if they dont shift gears NOW cuz when if they get past Seattle, they're going to get made fools of by Phoenix, period.

Now we'll see if the 84%-Game5 winners-become-Series-winners holds up this year.

I'd said each of the 3 Game5 winners will win its series.

Then the question will be: in 6 or 7?

Well, I hope we have 1 road team win tonight, and that team comes from the WC.

I want Indy to win, to keep Miami sitting on their asses, so the East Finals starts at the same time the West Finals starts.

For what it's worth -- and it probably means very little -- the Spurs are currently 14-4 in their own close-out games under Popovich, including 9-3 on the road in such games (one of those losses was to Seattle in Game 4 of the First Round in 2002, but it was a night the Spurs played without both Timmy and Dave; other losses were @ Dallas in Game 4 of the WCSF in 2001 and @ Minnesota in Game 3 of the First Round in 2001).

Also, in the case of all 4 losses, the Spurs closed out the series on the second chance.

I'd be thrilled with a road win.

I have no doubt at all that they close it out tonight.

I am going to bet the farm on it.

"thrilled"

yep, these Spurs aren't Quite Ready for Championship Prime Time, so passing this crucial test tonight would give them a tremendous test passed, a W under duress, pressure on the road.

What's great about Tony is that we'll know after 9 minutes whether he will have re-found his A-game. :)

Well, if this was the 1999 Spurs, I'd also be thrilled if they got a road win in this kind of game. I don't share your grave doubts about this team, boutons, though I'd like for them to find some more consistency in their effort. When they've played with great effort, they've been very, very difficult to beat, no matter where the game has been played.

But, anytime any Spurs team is playing a close out game on the road, it would be safe to say that I'd be thrilled with a road win.
