Dead even, although if you're a huge baseball fan, Ps3 decidedly holds the edge there because "The Show" blows everything else away.

The Show 06 for PS2 was the best baseball game I've ever played. I need to get on that for PS3.

Why do you mention PES though? It's available for XBOX 360 as well.

Oh and I can't speak for the older machines but I've never had a long load time with my PS3 slim.

Much better editing options, including crowd chants and music. Also it makes it much easier importing stuff on ps3 with usb and stuff. (At least that's what I've heard)

As for other games, obviously for baseball (as mentioned earlier) there's nothing better than The Show, and I'm not even a baseball fan at all but that game is one of the best sports titles ever, and every year it gets better. For football and basketball, i'd probably give the edge to Xbox, just because the graphics are sharper, but that's it.

If you don't give a crap about a few jaggies in the graphics, then I'd go with ps3.

Hmm, I had no idea there were differences. This might play a factor for PES 2011 for me. But I usually play online as well (since WE9) so I might have to opt for Live.

Sounds like PS3 is the way to go due to the Baseball game as well as many nice features that go with it. Hopefully it comes down in price.

I'm not a fan of the two analog sticks being on the bottom of the controller. It didn't use to bother me before, but the Xbox analog configuration makes more sense when a game is that heavily dependent on them.

PS2 games didn't rely too heavily on analog sticks so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Completely agree about The Show, I thought I was the only one that was really into it:lol..I have it on PS3 as well..I imagine baseball games are easier to make than the other sports due to less overall action, but still, it's the best sports game I've played so far..

I prefer The Show and NHL 10 to NBA and NFL games, even though I prefer the other 2 sports in real life by a huge margin..

tbh Xbox and PS3 are even in terms of Madden and 2K. MLB The Show is on a whole 'nother level though imho

Seriously I played nba 2k9 on ps3 and the graphics are much darker/less clear compared to xbox 360. I suggest any basketball fan to go with XBox 360. You want the best graphics possible and Xbox seems to be much better at this.
