A couple of buddies and I are planning a trip to the Guadalupe River to swim and enjoy the day tomorrow. I heard of Guadalupe River State Park being a nice place but its 7 bucks a person. I was wondering if anyone knows a nice place we can head out to that is free and nice to swim in.

,Or kill yourself in the process of scraping together every single one of those 700 hard-to-attain pennies that's keeping you from having fun.......

Wow is the economy this bad? We got a guy doing dishes and laundry for ten bucks... now people can't even pay a 7 dollar fee to swim!?

You can drive out 281 to the Guadalupe bridge and park there off to the right. It's not bad.

The other side of 281, not the GCL side.

You still have to drive through the livery to get there, pay up, & drive under the bridge, if memory serves me well!!!

You should all three chip in $20 dollars and buy a texas state parks pass. Then you can keep going back for a year without having to pay the entrance fee as long as you're all in one vehicle.

And yes, just upriver of the comfort bridge (around the corner of the left fork) is a great swimming hole.
