''Slovenia stuns Brazil ''
''Slovenia pulls off upset win against Brazil''
''Slovenia survives Brazil's rally, pulls off upset win''
What is this shit from nba.com??... They think we are fucking Jordania or what... We were the favourites in this game even without our best players on the team.
If they think that a team with Barbosa (one man sucker), Varejao (flopping bitch) and Splitter is great something is wrong with them... But I must say that that 35 year old tree point shooter was great. One bad ass clutch shooter.
Besides missing its best players, Slovenia lost by 22 to the U.S. while Brazil lost by 2 playing better basketball. If you were to ask me which one was the favorite, I wouldn't have picked Slovenia.

That was hilarious. They were walking like this for a few meters. :lol
Dragič patting Barbosa's butt when one of the brazilians missed the 1st free throw was also funny.

If they were in te same group It could have happened that Spain loses to USA by 20 and another day Brazil loses by just 2, and now when Spain would face Brazil, Brazilians would be the favourites just cause they lost to USA by less points. LOL
USA played like shit that day, Brazil got fucking lucky that USA wasn't in destroy mode.

I wouldn't say that. I'd say Brazil played a really terrible game yesterday, especially 1st half. But agree they were no clear favorites vs. Slovenia. They are pretty much even.
Either Brazil or Slovenia can beat the USA in a good day, and in a bad day lose by double digits. But USA is definitely beatable.

Yea, thats true. Our team did shoot like 75 % in the first half, so this won't happen everytime. We just sucked against the 2-3 zone. Our guys were lost for 5 minutes. It looked so bad. I really thought we'd lost, cause we're big time chokers when we have a big lead at the break. But we had a 17 point lead with 9 minutes to go and then a black hole.
You are right with that they are pretty much even, but I really think we've got more good players than Brazil. If only Barbosa wouldn't suck so much.
USA is beatable but I don't think Slovenia or Brazil can defeat them. USA team would really need to have a bad, bad night.
And I also think that Brazil will go home after the next round. I just can't see them defeat Argentina or Serbia. I'd like to see them kick Serbia from this WC, but those guys are really young and very good.

Brazil already qualified for the next round, where they will face either Serbia or Argentina.
I feel very confident we can take our neighbours this time. Our bracket doesnt look so bad afterall. US, Spain, Greece and Turkey all on the other side of the draw.

Splitter picks up his 2nd foul with 8:22 in the 2nd quarter; really was a bad call he was posting up and was called for a offensive hook around the waist I guess
on a side note; there is a player on the Croatia team name Popovic

What's the fould limit in the WC/FIBA?
And why did Splitter seemingly play so badly? 4-4 FT and a board every 4 minutes is alright, but 3 TO and 25% FG is terrible.

Foul limit is 5 per player and i guess its because it was a blow up game.

Back in action only one day after a tough loss to Slovenia, Tiago Splitter and Brazil easily defeated Croatia 92-74. Splitter, playing only sixteen minutes in the game, managed only six points on one-of-four from the field and four-of-four from the free throw line. In addition to the six points Tiago chipped in four rebounds and four assists in the runaway victory for Team Brazil.
Splitter's time was limited after picking up his second foul early in the second quarter of the game. He came out firing in the third, grabbing a couple of offensive rebounds and knocking down a bucket from inside the paint before picking up yet another foul and going to the bench where he sat for the rest of the game. Brazil's coaching staff used the blowout as an opportunity to rest many of their starters. This was their third game in four days.
Unfortunately, turnovers and foul trouble seem to be a running theme in Splitter's World Championship outings. Hopefully this is a trend that can be bucked upon his arrival in training camp next month.
Brazil has some time to rest and recoup. They are not back in action again until next Tuesday where they will match up against Argentina where Luis Scola is having a fantastic performance in the World Championship. Check in then for another Splitter update.

They are strong but not one of the strongest. I can see both Greece or Spain kick them out in the next round.Today I thought that they'll win by at least 10. I knew it will be a close game, but not that close. If the refs wouln't be afraid of Mr. Chair Croatia would have won.
